Not sure what you're blathering about. If Fury manages to beat Usyk, his top 4 wins (Wlad, Wilder, Wilder, Usyk) is up there with anyone's. He's just short on depth.
About where he Is ranked. There's nothing special about Usyk other than his fans have preordained his greatness based on 4 total heavyweight fights against Curly, Larry and Moe Twice. A fighter with a total of 20 pro fights now he's legendary? Please. He wasn't great at Cruiser, Much less Heavyweight. If Fury Beats him , it really doesn't boost him up the list of ATG'S. It's along the same line as his victory over Wilder. Another painfully over hyped and overrated fighter.
But their NOT, that is the ppoint, their no where near... Compare Fury to those other SUPER Heavyweights, I noticed everybody by passing that. Fury doesn't even measure up to many of them, nevermind Heavyweight History... as MANY OTHER Posters are Stating Here.
You have a list with Golota, Savarese, Cooney, Whyte (who Fury lit up), and originally Orlin Norris. You make no sense at all.
Norris was a recognised Height Mistake - Corrected, the Rest are ALL SUPER Heavyweights like Fury... why didn't you list these 7 S-HWs Lennox Lewis Riddick Bowe W Klitschko V Klitschko Gerry Cooney Ernie Terrell Tony Tucker or these 2 almost S-HWs - Carl Williams (BIG Heavyweight, border S-HW) Corrie Sanders (BIG Heavyweight, border S-HW) names too real for you, many of which who would Smash Fury.
They're really good wins, especially the blood-and-thunder victories over a very willing Wilder. But I just can't count the Wlad as anything too special, his time was due and to be blunt Fury didn't look exactly exceptional beating him. I'm aware your disdain for some of the older era fighers, but can we measure that against beating prime Frazier, Foreman, Norton, and (maybe a bit past it) Liston? No disrespect meant, but no...I don't see that.
The first point is very interesting to consider, but Fury made a 40 year old well-past-his-peak champion look..well, kind of bad (Fury didn't exactly look great doing so). I really don't count that for much, even less for what AJ did to him.
Wlad at 40 was favored to win and was still better than the vast majority of prime title holders. That was a big win.
Fury is a candidate for Top-25, for mine. He could crack the 20, with a Usyk win, should that become an eventuality. But I am not sure how that would be justified, right now.
