GGG is also motivated and he is no Khan or Rocky thank God. Even at 40 GGG is not going to need a stretcher except to maybe roll Ginger into it after the fight.
Actually I'm very worried regarding the outcome of this fight. If GGG wins, Ak and Barak may need to go on a Suicide watch. They've been licking him so much since DAZN signed Canelo to that huge contract that they may jump off the Brooklyn Bridge if he loses. They had tears in their eyes for weeks after the Bivol fight, but that was a step up. THis will be even Steven.
Canelo is going to take his frustrations of losing to bivol out on ggg. It won't be pretty ggg will take a career ending savage beating.
I'm hoping that GGG will find renewed strength and conditioning at the new weight and finally beating Alvarez on the official cards. I'm expecting GGG to be as game as a 39 / 40 year old can be and lose a lopsided decision, maybe even getting KO'd in the later rounds.
They both really want it. I don’t doubt Lil g’s motivation nor Canelo’s and the fact they are both going for it and determined means there will be a vicious knockout. I back Canelo to be the man standing at the end. Lil g’s time has come and gone.
I thought that canelo was going to KO ggg in this 3rd fight. But remembering the second fight, gg has no problem in going backwards when he feels he can be hurt, hence I have changed my mind and I think now that canelo will win clearly (this time) on points.
GGG is at an advantage with the weight, here. Normally when you don't cut weight, you are at a size disadvantage because your opponent is cutting weight, so come fight night you are 10-15 lbs. lighter than your opponent. GGG routinely fought at 170 lbs. at Middleweight, so at Super Middleweight, he essentially will not have a weight cut for the first time ever. Meanwhile, Canelo will still have to cut weight to make 168, but it won't be a lot. So Golovkin will probably be at a 3-4 lb. disadvantage fight night, but that would remain true when they fought at 160. It's a subtle point, but one worth mentioning. Weight cuts affect older fighters much more and Golovkin now has the luxury of essentially removing the dehydration aspect, while also being the taller guy and not having any size disadvantage. I am shocked at people thinking Canelo stops him. GGG has never been down and I've only seen him rattled once by that SD body shot, it happens. I expect another close fight with Canelo obviously getting the nod, GGG is not getting a decision here given what we have seen in Canelo's fights (e.g. Bivol, Floyd, GGG, Lara, Trout, etc.). If Canelo fights angry though, he may be the one that gets stopped.
No one is getting KTFO. They both have solid chins and too much pride to even allow the body to shut down. If this does not go to the scorecards I will be shocked. These two bring out the absolute best in the other.
Agree and I've said this for some time this fight at 168 may counter GGG's advancing years. Yes there's a possibility he ages overnight but I think the higher weight favours him more than Ginger. I would very much like GGG to win as he clearly to me won both although the second fight was closer. Also agree with the fact I can't see him getting stopped. I think he could lose fairly or not but I think it's competitive and I'm rooting for GGG.
