I would say both Chisora and Whyte >Biggs, and I'm not even being a modernist. Tyrell Biggs has an awful resume, I was just debating the other day whether or not he should be below Fraudley Harrison as the worst SHW gold medalist to go pro so far.
Norton is not anywhere near Fury, or Bowe, for that matter. All props to him for beating Ali fair and square but Kenny is truly lacking in quality wins. If you add to that the fact that his heavyweight belt was gifted to him and never successfully defended it makes it difficult to rank him above Fury. I have Bowe ranked a bit ahead of The Gypsy King at the moment. He finished his career 43-1 with two wins each over Holyfield and Golota as well as wins over Dokes, Tubbs, Biggs, Hide, Thomas and others. Fury needs a few more good wins to go by Bowe IMHO.
This is absurd. Thomas, Does and Tubbs were completely washed up, and many still thought Tubbs won. Cooper is the same as Chisora, Coetzer a notch below. Seldon is garbage. Donald is a decent win, and Hide, but Hide is another cruiser. Bowe never showed that he could compete against decent sized quality heavies.
Tyrell Biggs was talented but he liked to fight too much instead of boxing, and it got him in trouble vs Bey, Tyson. After the Tyson beatdown he was basically finished as a fighter, he showed promise early in his career but never actually did much in the pro game.
He got robbed vs Helenius and Parker and beat Pulev who was past it but still a higher rated win than anything Biggs has.
Young has nothing to do with it. They were drug addicts who by that time had been used as punching bags. They were shot, And again, the Tubbs "win" brings Bowe no glory.
Basically, Bowe has three quality top-end wins in HolyX2 and Hide, again, all cruisers, and Fury has four in Klit, WilderX2, and Whyte. Neither career is stellar, and then are comparable.
Good post age is just a number as you know, fighters like Tubbs, Dokes, Thomas, all had various personal problems regarding weight, drugs, etc. Look at Thomas for example he seemed to age over night, then eroded badly in just a few years. Beating those fighters at that stage in their career, is nothing to write home about IMO. Bowe was also lucky to get the decision vs Tubbs, and Tubbs was promptly knocked out in the 1st round in his next fight which isn't good look for Bowe.
whyte isn't a top quality win. the guy had just gotten knocked unconscious by a 42 year old in a final eliminator. if boxing weren't as rigged as wrestling, he wouldn't even have gotten the title shot.
