Robinson was a master at everthing, he would have out-boxed GGG in a good fight, a great battle of the jabs but Robi was faster.

Toothpick Robinson would struggle with that pressure.

The other Sugar Ray would definitely beat GGG, but im not sure about Robinson

Robinson was far better than Leonard at 160 and far more proven, he stopped Fullmer with one shot.

I’m not picking anyone over SRR at MW. Not even Hagler although he’s the only guy I would pick over the Marvelous one. No argument, I can’t do it even though SRR was before my time and from an era where they fought way more frequently. Those guys fought hurt every fight. When men were men. Of course their opponents fought hurt every fight too.

If short armed 5'8" LaMotta can get a win off SRR I'm sure GGG can too but this would be a dog fight.

I believe Robinson had too many different weapons in his arsenal and would have found the right weapon to beat the relatively one-dimensional Golovkin.

That being said, Robinson was the GOAT as a welterweight and burnished his image and reputation while fighting as a middleweight but his 160 pound career alone does not make him the greatest of all time. He was just short of 30 when he won the 160 lb crown and was already a little past his truly glorious physical prime. The reason he won the title five times is because he was no longer great enough to continually fight at his best and hold onto the title. Monzon, Hagler, Golovkin and others could have and would have beaten Robby but he may have beaten them more than they beat him.

Honestly, people are too nostalgic. GGG would jab his nut in. This is a kazakh warrior with 300+ amateur fights. He's extremely skilled and the casual boxing fanbase can't see that.

SRR was hittable, and GGG is a decent sized middleweight with a heavy ramrod jab that pounds away constantly

It's not nostalgia It's people who won't watch matches/bad vision,

Ali's style which came from srr but Ali was more updated with it and his style didn't work good in 80s,Ali clinched alot, bounced to much which joe/cooper begin to be able to read and countered him easy, had hands down low often, used head movement but not the way modern used it which was head/blocking with hands,

I was told it didn't work good cause the people who used it didn't have speed, how does having speed fix the other stuff I said?,people are odd on this site it's like they act like people just can't be better as if people like us cant see it's lots of fighters better then these guys style

why would a more flawed out of date srr style beat a ggg style?when the ali updated style version of it was out of date as I pasted my quote from yesterday was out of date in 80s

This is a mismatch ggg runs though him
Isn't this area meant to be more realistic then the classic cult like area?
