Didn't the British care who their best heavyweight was?
Is it too late for that fight?

It didn't happen mainly because when AJ and Hearn were 'undefeated' (except Price had stopped AJ, even pulling his punches, of course) they were playing A-side exploitation games.

It was something like this, more or less:
Basically Fury was coming back and said he'd fight Joshua.
Hearn and Joshua wouldn't give him 50/50.
Fury didn't agree to those terms.
Soon Fury came back and after two quick nothing fights signed to fight Wilder instead (good proof he was serious about Joshua).
Hearn also had the chance to sign Fury but claimed Fury wanted bad comeback fights so didn't agree. This was Hearn being overconfident with his Joshua project and letting his ego undermine his own business interests.
Joshua went on to lose to Ruiz.
    Fury beat/drew with Wilder.

And from this point the dynamics changed so that Joshua fell and Fury rose.
Then Fury tried to get out of the Wilder contract for the third fight (rightly so, it was ridiculous he had to fight Wilder three times despite beating him twice) and the AJ fight was talked about but Fury couldn't escape that contract.
AJ went on to lose to Usyk.
AJ went on to lose to Usyk.
AJ went on to lose fans.
AJ went on to lose respect.
AJ went on to lose brand value.

Now Hearn and AJ want to fight Wilder and Fury and even Whyte. Everyone is welcome to fight them now!

I am pretty sure Fury ducked AJ just like he ducked wlad rematch and ustinov . Fat boy is a certified duck.

How did exactly Fury escape a rematch with Wlad when he dominated him and mocked him for 10 rounds? And claiming the same for Ustinov can't be serious at all - Ustinov got smashed by Pulev even.

Yeah he ducked both of this matches and it's well documented.
And he never dominated Wlad. Klitschko had a off night and struggle on his camp cause of personal stuff. Anyway the fight was super boring. Fury was missing most of his shots and Klitschko throw next to nothing. Fury won the majority of the rounds he won by landing 1-2 arm punches more.
You are not awarded rounds for doing nothing, but clowning around.
Tgat was 8-4 type of fight mainly cause of Klitschko inactivity in the rounds.
And actually 3 point win difference cause of the point deducted.

Who cares? I think Usyk is WAY more capable of beating a guy his size than Fury is. In fact, No one in boxing is more capable of winning a fight vs someone with no advantages over them than Usyk...which is why he's lb for lb the best fighter on the planet. But Fury has a lot of advantages, and Usyk doesn't seem to be as good as he NEEDS to be to beat someone as big as Fury.

No, Fury joked with the steroid clincher, "it's well documented" on video, just as it was obvious that while the potential second fight Fury sank into drugs and alcohol and gained like... 60 kg. And Ustinov is a crappy fighter to duck him, so you're wrong.

Eh, the only steroid cheater i know is Fury, and yeah he is a clincher cheater as well. And that has been proven already.

And no he didn't duck Wlad once, he ducked him twice. He faked an injury, then faked his mental b.c. illness or whatever it was.
Even his uncle was excusing for him after the first faked injury and was saying how they will respect their rematch clause and that Klitschko deserve the rematch and Fury will fight him, blq, blq, blq, and we all know what happen.

It's very well documented that he ducked Ustinov, when he was undefeated and actually in some shape. Facts.

And i don't care about Fury excuses.

"The only steroid cheater you know" weirdly is different from the one I know - are we going to compare what we know? Wlad was accused by Pulev of playing ring, gloves and all kind of tricks, yet it wasn't until Fury stated the same when boxing recognized it, remember?

Fury is an amazing faker, for sure - he gained half of his weight when about to fight Wlad again just to duck him. Even that he won in a very convincing way the first time.

Tyson ducking Ustinov while undefeated? Ustinov lost pathetically to Pulev in 2012, while he was about to face Fury two years later - how was he undefeated? "Facts", right?

Fury vs AJ undisputed fight was going to happen, but Wilder won the arbitration case in the last minute and earned the right to fight for a 3rd time with Fury.

Then, AJ had to fight his mandatory opponent, Usyk.
