Time and tide wait for no man, and KIng Kong is 44'000 years old now

If Ruiz fights like he did against Arreola then your prediction might come to pass; but I suspect there's a lot of improvement since

    Ruiz TKO late

Why does the fight have zero hype. It is a pretty decent HW fight, and could produce some fireworks. It is an absolute joke that it is PPV though, and I hope everyone involves loses their shirt for making that decision.
I'm sure on all of the FOX college football games tomorrow they will shove it down our throats, but even on this forum nobody is talking about it.

The fact Ortiz went life and death with Charles Martin of all people suggests to me that he's finished as a top contender. Ruiz if he shows ambition here should be able to close the show.

Lets not forget Ruiz's climb to fame was beating AJ who is potentially not that good anyway, still far from proven.

Three whole years ago Ortiz proved to be a 6 ground fighter against Wilder. The man gassed horrifically past 6 rounds even though he was largely fighting at his own pace and not even fighting at a high tempo.

We are here three years later and he is facing a top HW who is considerable younger than him. Fast hands Andy will have a field day with Ortiz and stop him after the 6th round.

Ortiz is too old and has too poor stamina here. It will be interesting before he gasses. Ortiz’s only hope here is to knock Andy Ruiz unconscious whilst he still has petrol in the tank.

Ortiz's offence is very limited. Basically a straight left to the head or body and a looping right hook over the guard. That's like 90% of his offence, and it almost always comes in ones or twos. He relies almost exclusively on his timing and using his lead hand to feint, probe and rangefind, which is more or less all he's doing when he isn't attacking.

If Andy isn't a complete idiot (undecided on this point) he should be able to read Ortiz's game fairly easily and use his own jab to bust through Ortiz's guard and pepper him with hard three/four punch combinations, the way he started doing to Arreola from around round three of their fight onwards. I don't think I've ever seen Ortiz against a quick handed inside fighter before, and I don't think his style suits that type of fight, though Ruiz's struggles against Arreola early make me think Ortiz could potentially slip an overhand lead hook on Ruiz's head as he's bulling in and drop him. Ortiz has naturally heavier hands than Arreola so that might spell trouble for Ruiz. It's Ruiz's fight to lose though.

Im struggling to call this one, for me a lot rides on how legĂtimate is Charles Martin's power? If it's mediocre power I assume Ortiz has lost his punch resistance and will get stopped by Ruiz

This seems like a likely scenario. Ortiz is ancient (probably pushing 50, or older) and seems to have lost several steps.

    However it happens, Ruiz TKO
