Vargas has to be back at the Jeep plant for his shift tomorrow morning...won't last much longer.

Vargas already gassing and sitting down to get a breather.

    Round 1 Martin 10-9
    Round 2 Martin 10-9

Vargas slumps down, Martin grazed him, then Vargas feigned being hurt. Martin clearly drops along the ropes, Cantu doesn't count it inexplicably. One sided beatdown continued.

If Vargas had put as much work into his power as he has into his slickness, those punches might have troubled Martin...

That flurry by Vargas seemed to actually hurt Martin a bit, as he answers with a low blow.

    Round 1 Martin 10-9
    Round 2 Martin 10-9
    Round 3 Martin 10-9

Martin still doing his thing, Vargas tried to mug him, with very little success. Vargas lands a hard right hook, Marton goes down, looked rocked, but it was a push. Vargas lands another huge right, Martin stabilizes, then lands a low blow, Vargas collapses, Cantu gives him some time. Martin jabbing, Vargas trying to mug him some more. Martin landed heavier blows, but that was waaaaay closer than it should've been.

Vargas does know how to box. Bit limited athletically, but he was an Olympian at 200 lbs after all.

Perhaps Vargas had some upcoming vacation time at the plant and decided to try to make a go of it.

    Round 1 Martin 10-9
    Round 2 Martin 10-9
    Round 3 Martin 10-9
Round 4 Martin wins by TKO

Vargas pressing forward, eating right hooks and straight lefts. Martin hurts Vargas' eye with something, it's bleeding. Vicious loping left knocks his head back. Another one lands, and the ref waves it.

Is Martin the worst heavyweight champ of all time?

    Got to be up there

Well.... even though it was vacant, Seth Mitchell was a champion, so... no.

No doubt Martin's camp will point out that he got rid of Vargas in 4 rounds, vs. the 5 it took Zhilei Zhang...

Martin didn't seems sharp. But the real question is...was he actually not sharp enough to warrant serious consdieration as Jared Anderson's next opponent
