    The general impression I had is that Plania was thrown off his game by a type of fighter he hadn't encountered before.

    That's what he is, a technically sound fighter, decent puncher, meh movement. In a division like 154lbs though I could see him becoming a champ somehow.

    He's better than he was a couple years ago when a journeyman of no distinction whatsoever had him hurt and hanging on at the end of a fight...

    ...but the most impressive thing about him remains the hype machine behind him.

    Aleem is quite a by the books fighter. I think the crispness of his technique and his sharpness threw Plania off because he didn't expect such a quick reaction time. Plania thought he'd catch him coming in at some point and it never happened.

    To be fair he's a work in progress, I don't wanna **** on him just to be mean. There are countless great fighters who encountered big trouble early in their careers when they weren't experienced. Now Joey's not going to be a great, but he could be a pretty good fighter if he keeps improving.
