AJ should build himself up with 2 fights. Meanwhile Usyk will heal his injuries and TF fights a tune up. Then Usyk - Fury and if Fury wins he can fight the rebuilt AJ.
This must be one of Fury's good mood swing states, he was mellow. Tomorrow he'll probably come out shouting, **** AJ, that big dosser that just lost to a middleweight, he's a bum. AJ should take that fight though while the getting is good. He doesn't need a rebuild first as Usyk & Fury are different, and this is ready as he'll ever be.
Was AJ vs Usyk 2 a good fight? Considering he'd losing 2 in 4 at that point? AJ is the consensus number 3. If Usyk is unavailable this is the best fight available.
Apples to oranges. There were still people who thought that due to AJ's superior size, he would make a few adjustments and dominate a rematch. Vanishingly few things he is going to beat Fury at this point. He can do what he wants to do, but if I am his manager, I advise him take a few rebuilders. String together three in a row, culminating in a good fight....maybe Ruiz III...and take on Fury from a position of strength. Again, whatever is good for AJ.
You don`t agree that Usyk is a more important heavyweight than AJ? Usyk beat him, I don`t understand your logic.
I want AJ to do what is best for me as a fan tbh. In an ideal world, Fury fights Usyk and AJ fights Chisora. But if Usyk isn't ready, AJ is the best fight Fury can make. If AJ isn't ready it will need to be Ruiz or Joyce/Parker
The best should be fighting the best irregardless of losses. Seriously... Boxing is slow enough as it is. Let Fury fight AJ and Usyk, let Wilder fight AJ and Usyk. I've had enough of "tune ups". These fights should have happened years ago.
Getting tired of Fury. First he bashes Uysk for his wins over what he calls subpar fighters in Joshua and Chisora but in the last month he has called out both Chisora and now Joshua.
