Doubt the fight will happen now. Shields has MMA bout next and will probably be cheesed off with it all.
She needs this fight more than some stupid MMA fight, why is she fighting in MMA fights? She`s not a martial artist.
She`s not going to make any money in MMA fights, she`d have to fight a UFC fighter and she`ll never get a contract with Dana, she`s already been beat by a bum, she can`t kick and has no ground game.
She'll postpone her MMA fight or cancel it no doubt about it. Shes not going to miss this opportunity to Avenge her amatuer loss to Marshall and at the same time become Undisputed in another weight class.
I personally enjoy boxers stepping out of their comfort zone and not being afraid to fight under different rules.
Say what you will about her but win or lose I give her credit for actually going in there and doing it. No boxing matches or "hybrid rules" BS that bans most of her opponents skillset.
It takes years to become a good MMA fight, she was awful in her first two MMA fights and they weren`t even in the UFC, she`s delusional.
While true there's really no other way for her to get better other than actually fight, I give her all the credit for backing it up unlike guys like Tyson Fury, Floyd Mayweather and other boxers who talk that sh!t but wouldn't dare fight even a part time journeyman in MMA. I'm not saying they should but if you ain't gonna just shut up and stay in your lane. Artur Szpilka who got brutally knocked out by Deontay Wilder fought another boxer in MMA a few months ago, apparently Szpilka won a controversial decision in the boxing match but beat him in the MMA fight, he looked decent and is fighting again tonight I believe in MMA.
