Yes. And someone who doesn't believe he can win 1,5 rds more than last time (1 more won and 1 more even on the cards would have seen Joshua take the decision) doesn't have the mindset for this level, I'd say.

Personally, I believe that Usyk have that extra gear to put in when he needs it to defeat Joshua, at least until age catches up to him, but that's me as an objective observer. I'd not expect Joshua to think exactly the same way.

The scorecards were a joke though. Feldman scored the last round to Joshua, which is absurd. He knew (correctly) giving it to Usyk would result in a draw. Without the titles or the clout, Joshua would be less likely to benefit from generous scoring. Fight two was only marginally closer than fight one.

Like I said, the idea Joshua's performance in the rematch was transformative from the first fight is misguided. Better? Yes. Much better? No...

(Btw, Feldman had Thurman beating Pacquiao. He's a terrible judge)

Personally I think two of the cards were good, but I was most aboard with the one that had Usyk winning with two points. The one that had Joshua was plain bad.

The question is not what you and I think of the cards, though, but Joshua. I don't think he feels that he got generous cards or that they will be less generous the next time. So for him, assessing his chances, it will be whether he can win a few rounds more or not, against an Usyk that probably will be around 1,5 years older. And in this hypothetical Joshua has also beaten Fury twice. So I definitely don't think he will see this as an impossible task.

Because Usyk does not want to fight again until 2023 .

I like a good hypothetical as much as the next man - but Joshua beating Fury twice is such an unlikely scenario it warrants dismissal. It's incumbent on all hypotheticals they at least touch fingertips with reality.

Yes, Usyk would be 18 months older but so would Joshua - a fighter way more dependant on his physicality than Usyk and less able to fall back on ring smarts to plug the gaps of decline because his ring IQ is that much lower. And I would argue Joshua is already further from his prime, a prime which can be identified as the millisecond before Wlad's right hand detonated on his chin. He really hasn't been the same fighter since, even if his skills have been refined.

But I get your point; you're attempting to put yourself in Joshua's shoes and read his mindset...

I like Fury as a boxer, great fighter.

But as a person hes too disrespectful of fighters, like his comments about Usyk recently.

And its beyond weird and boring now how his word is not his word. He was retiring, then he was facing chisora, then he was retiring, then he was facing usyk, then he was facing manuel charr, now hes facing joshua. all in the last few weeks! you cannot trust a word he says.

Fury so scared of Usyk he will fight AJ, and if he wins, say he won so easily he doesn't need to prove anything against Usyk. Seriously joke champ.

He's obviously a criminal and should not be allowed anywhere near a boxing ring unless he is buying a ticket.

    no that's not realistic
Fury can earn tens and even hundreds of millions boxing 12 round unification match with Usyk.
    same with boxing Joshua.
the idea that a professional boxer at this level will be trying to never have those paydays is not realistic
it makes no sense at all

scared of what? what's scary for Fury about Usyk?

in this world people are not avoiding earning hundreds of millions.

realistically the worse than would happen to Fury is Usyk outboxes Fury.
    for 12 rounds.
Fury gets paid about $100 million & probably a rematch for the same amount!

the idea that a man like Fury fears this scenario to the point he would do everything to avoid it? no. that's not real. that makes no sense.

Usyk does not feat Fury either. he's just not ready to fight him just yet.
