Is Canelo mentally in his prime ? I think that Bivol took something out of him but because he did not pull the trigger Canelo is still in good shape mentally. What is your thoughts ?

Certainly not close to a bum LOL but before Bivol I do think that Canelo was starting to think that he was invincible and maybe the loss to Bivol brought him back to reality.

bivol is legitimately good and Canelo looked like a dwarf next to him that's why bivols not getting a ton of credit for the win and Canelo isn't getting criticized for the loss

I don't think Canelo is broken, but Bivol certainly beat some sense into him. His confidence has weakened and he needs a moral boost. We don't see him boasting anymore about 'greatness' and I don't think we'll ever hear that from him again. Greatness beyond Bivol? Yeah, that dream has ended when it was clear Bivol wasn't even pushed hard enough to get out of first gear. Canelo going up against anybody else at 175 would result in him getting sparked the hell out, especially if he were to go up against monsters like Beterbiev.

I have no idea how his confidence is at the moment but we'll certainly find out in the upcoming GGG fight.

It seems that Canelo is too detatched from reality to believe he actually lost.

I don't know about bum, but he was very one dimensional in that fight. Probably worst beating of the undisputed champion in my memory.

Worse than Taylor when he fought Catteral ? At least Bivol got the nod over Canelo to be fair .

Bum now? Highly doubtful. Not even sure that loss will effect him mentally.
