i have always been my own man, i started making all the decision about my own life when i was 14 and started making my own living. made so many mistakes along the way, but i learned some things about life due to those mistakes that helped define who i am as a man. i am faithful to the truth only, and by your own admission, you recognized that in me. doesnt mean i dont back my peoples plays when theyre wrong, i just make sure they understand that they are wrong and they are forcing me to be untrue to myself.

at least berto guerro and ortiz had winning records, not to talk about that they were world champions at any point of their careers... how many cab drivers with losing records fought jcc? LITERALLY losing records, I mean.

Had mayweather fought the likes of JCC's oponents, people in this forum would be asking for death penalty for him.

 

That's an apples/oranges comparison.

Chavez started fighting professionally at 17 with very little amateur experience.
Floyd started at around at 19 with over 80 amateur fights.

Chavez fought in over 100 fights to Floyd's 50 in about the same span of time.

Chavez won more championship fights than Floyd did.

 

I'm not talking about when he started fighting, I'm talking about the corpses with losing records that he fought in between championships, starting with the guy he fought after camacho, I dont remember his name. No way anyone in this forum would allow mayweather to get a pass with this kind of fights.

And Mayweather debutted at 19 yo, and got his first title at 21, btw. Older but not so much older than chávez.

PS: I dont blame him either, you cant fight top quality 9 times a year. But CVs like chávez's or zárate's cannot be compared to recent fighter's CVs, because it's not the same.

 

I agree it's not the same. The current boxing environment is different but it doesn't mean that these guys are better than those "old school" guys .

Those guys were obviously out of the top 10-15 in their division though.
