his jab is non-existent while Fury has an amazing jab

this could be the difference for the fight, AJ has never fought anyone taller than him before... and without a Jab it's gonna be tough

"AJ has never fought anyone taller than him before"

Cornish and Breazeale say hi. But yeah, AJ's experience against tall world level heavies is very limited. Retirement Wlad's the only one and he had equal dimensions to AJ.

Fury doesn’t have an amazing jab, if it was amazing he would be able to land behind it at will. Amazing is an over the top description of his jab. The fact that he decides to clinch straight after landing a jab regularly shows me that even he knows his jab has nothing on it other than to disrupt rhythm of his opponents

Atleast AJ has enough confidence in his jab to throw a good 1,2.

Can you imagine the damage it will do if Tyson fights southpaw. Big left jab down the pipe all night. Usyk was nailing AJ at will with it.

AJ has a good shot at knocking Fury out.

He certainly doesn't have variety in his jab. Someone needs to teach him to throw it with a loose shoulder so that he can snap it. Less power but more speed.

Yeah so true, limited is a far better description of his jab. He's learned to throw it to the body but that's the only variety to it, he really has.

I couldn't believe what I was seeing in the Usyk rematch, with him adopting a higher tighter guard so he had to throw the jab from the high guard position, meaning his jab had to fully extend to land. That's the last thing you want vs a shorter, faster opponent. He should have jabbed from a half extended position so his jab had less distance to cover and so would require less time to extend meaning he could react to Usyk's movement faster with his jab. But instead he gave Usyk even more time to see his jab coming and slip it.

Kind of agree. He doesn't have a great jab, say on the level of Ali or Holmes but he does have a very good jab and a much better jab than Joshua.

His jab has far more variety to it, he throws it from multiple positions unlike Joshua, he disguises his jab better too and he doesn't just use his lead hand as a traditional jab, he uses it to control his opponents position via, posting and framing.

Joshua in contrast will post occasionally but the way he does it is less effective as if he doesn't fully understand the purpose of it, he just leaves it out there as a range finder rather than using it as a barrier to block incoming shots or to control his opponents head position and therefore their position in general.

AJ has no jab, that's for sure. Fury might not be among the greatest jabbers, but you don't have to be in order to be great. Still, his jab is... well, I'll say it that way: if the greatest are 5 stars, Fury is not less than 4 as he throws it from every angle and manages to do well even in southpaw. I see AJ as a 3 at best, possibly a bit below.

Now, saying Fury goes to clinch after his jab - guys, don't mistake Fury for Wladimir. Yes, in the last 2-3 years he decided to use his size and weight more, but he's far from being a clincher like the *hit Wlad.

What fury has become a master of in his last few fights is turning his left jab into a check hook, he landed it at will v wilder and Whyte and it will be a huge problem for Joshua imo

Fury can clinch if he wants because he actually knows how to fight on the inside. He's going to Maul Joshua.

Fury is going to humiliate Aj

The haters will claim Fury picked on a mentally weak Aj following his 2 losses to Usyk

However, the same haters are picking Aj to get it done, so hang around and take your oil after Fury does a complete number on him

Never did I believe Aj was on Fury's level, I can't wait to be proven right. I just pray the fight 100% happens

My main issue in his first fight against Ruiz. With this size difference, he should have dominated Andy with jab alone, but he did okay at best. It's unthinkable how he whines about not being 14 stones, but his long guard and jab-cross-hook style of a big man is underwhelming as well as far as standards that try to pertain to Hall of Fame fighters go. Power and combination speed are the only two things that impress me when watching big Josh.
