Dempsey making out Morrison is some sort of new fella on the scene. He’s been getting beaten badly against anyone remotely ok since Welborn battered him getting on for 6 years ago.

Isn’t there anyone more worthy of this challenge? He beat Seamus Devlin, a good journeyman but still a journeyman who has 3 fights booked in for the next few weeks to get this. That was following another loss.

 

Why do they put the main fight on so late?

Is that Andy Clarke commentating on BT? He left Sky to work on Channel 5 I thought, maybe he isn’t exclusive with them. He also does a lot of work with SecondsOut.

Round 1: Morrison 10-9

Great start from Morrison who tags Bentley with a right hand which wobbles him slightly. Morrison landed the right hand a few times but then Bentley ended the round really well with a flurry of punches. I thought Morrison covered up well though.

Bentley has great success to the body and starts the round well. Morrison’s nose is covered with blood but he doesn’t stop coming forward. The pace slows down during the final two minutes of the round. This is warming up nicely.
