I had the fight a draw, which is one point off of what two of the judges had it (7-5 for Canelo). Here is my card. The difference in my card and the card of the two 115-113 judges is that I gave GGG the 6th round and neither of them did. I'll include my notes for Round 6.

    01....10-9 GGG
    02....10-9 CA
    03....10-9 CA
    04....10-9 CA
    05....10-9 CA
    06....10-9 GGG....(see notes below)
    07....10-9 CA
    08....10-9 CA
    09....10-9 GGG
    10....10-9 GGG
    11....10-9 GGG
    12....10-9 GGG

    6-6 rounds. 114-114. Draw.

My Round 6 notes ----> "GG best round. Starting to warm up, find groove. CA starting to slow. GG will have a shot (to take Canelo out), just needs to be ready to take it when it comes"

GGG RD 1 and maybe 10 and 11.

    Clenelo won everything else.

    12th could have been even.

    This was a crappy fight.

I take it back. The 116-112 judge gave the 6th round to GGG. So my card checks out on the 6th round, too.

    Not even close.

Canelo faded massively from the 8th round on. GGG had some trouble letting his hands go in the 8th so I gave it to Canelo, but Canelo was like a corpse out there from 8-12 for most of the rounds.

    Gave GGG 9 10 11 for a 9-3 score.
Can see it being 8-4 swapping any of the closer rounds and I'm ok with that.
7-5 is a bit far fetched.

One thing is for sure -- Canelo appears to be on the downside of his career.

He's always had stamina issues, but he was there to be taken out tonight. My notes for Round 10 started with "Canelo is ready to go".

62 fights is a lot of fights, regardless of age.

Canelo is going to need to pick his fights wisely moving forward or his career could end in a way he does not want.

117-111 Canelo. I gave GGG too much credit going into the 3rd fight and he dissapointed me tonite.

    8. Canelo 10-9

    10. GGG 10-9
    11. GGG 10-9
    12. Canelo 10-9

116-112 Canelo, with a little generosity to GGG. Oh well! I had higher hopes for this but it did deliver in the second half.

I think this is maximally generous to GGG, except you could swing round 12 his way too if you were really working on it. Round 6 I thought was a clear Canelo round just slightly more competitive than the prior four rounds. Round 8 I thought was competitive but I wouldn't call it close.

Calling this a draw would be worse than calling the first fight a draw IMO.

Yeah, they both did look a bit shitty, didnt they? Canelo isnt 40 though. I agree that Canelo probably needs to be carefully matched from here on out.
