We've seen Canelo hurt to the head, never GGG

Spot on. Some people on here equate power only if you have a great record. Which is far from the truth. There are killer punchers with not so great boxing skills. That doesn't take away from their punching power. Lemieux being a fine example. He was a killer puncher but poor boxer. Which his record reflected.

I think GGG's just got a combination of good chin, underrated defense, good distance control, and high ring IQ.

Despite his old legs, he did not stay on the ropes once. He was moving for the whole 12 rounds and never gave Canelo the opportunity to throw combos at him. He rarely fell into any of Canelo's traps and he always braced for incoming shots.

Never hurt (to the head), never down. Only long reigning MW champ who can say that. And that's in 400 fights. #1.

What world class fighters have Stevens and Lemieux knock out? They were good at knocking out low level fighters. Murata has never knocked out a elite fighter. Jacobs is a good puncher but pretty much ran from GGG.

People do that because big punchers that lack skill can’t land as consistently. Lemieux might have landed here and there but he was dominated by GGG.

Still doesn't take away that he has been in the rings with hard punchers. Also he went 36 rnds with Canelo and ate punches that have broken eye sockets and stopped other guys from 160-175. GGG chin is rock solid. The argument of him not being tested is moot when he has fought the current hardest puncher of the division.

He's been fighting since the age of 10, 30 years, had just under 400 fights am and pro combined, sparred a who's who of top pros and world champions, many top contenders and world champions much bigger than him and world champions at 168, 175, 200 (Kovalev, Gassiev, George Groves, Tavoris Cloud to name but a tiny few) and never been down. His chin is iron.

No comparison, Golovkin's best opponent is Canelo. La Motta, Hagler, Monzon had much better opposition.

We can say the same about Clenelo

That right hand GGG cracked him with at the 0:27 mark was a HL reel KO shot and many top MWs would've been put to sleep on their face after eating that
