Nqh, he just never was good as people were making out to be, and the paid off e-commerce that works for him.

He has always been the same. He is good in a fights where he can set up the pace, and fight doesn't play on high pace or someone to pressure him.

    I agree.

Like Usyk, I think Canelo's best days are behind him.

It's not (just) the age, it's the mileage.

he cant win a round legit from bivol and beterbiev would comatose him. benevidez would be the least dangerous of the 3. Watch him try to bring charlo to 168

Charlo wants the fight at 168. Gotta give him credit for wanting to move up to challenge Canelo.

I like both fights for Canelo. If he can beat them both that stamps his Legacy.

Both good fights, yes. He wouldn't beat Benavidez based on his last two performances though.

He is slipping a bit. In fact the majority of the ring p4p top 10 are clearly on the decline, unfortunately a fighter often has their absolute peak getting themselves into contention, rather than when they actually have the super fights. Especially so if they have a long amateur career. Sometimes it's not just the explosiveness, athleticism, and stamina that's lost (that can be compensated by experience and technical work to some degree) but also the motivation and fire. Canelo has lost a bit of both. He's not the only one:

Golovkin in Jacobs/Canelo I was not quite as good as the younger Golovkin that was heavily avoided. Golovkin last night could have been beaten by a number of MWs.

Even Usyk and Fury aren't at their best at all, although the younger heavyweights aren't very good so they would probably still beat them.

Spence and Crawford are finally fighting but neither are actually at their peak, this should have happened years ago.

Andre Ward was past his best for the Kovalev fights, super 6 Ward was considerably better. However Kovalev too was past his best, even in the earlier Chilemba fight Kovalev's rapid decline had started.

Floyd vs Pac was a battle between two clearly past prime greats. Both managed wins afterwards but it doesn't change the fact that neither was as good as they used to be.

Maybe he fights Jake Paul next? I'm being entirely serious. Canelo is about Box Office not Belts.

I have to hold my nose while typing this, but Paul-Canelo probably has a bigger box office than all three of those other fights put together. Actually, it definitely has a bigger box office since the last two of those fights would have a much smaller box office once Canelo badly loses the first.
