GGG got paid to fight. He fought . . . and lost . . . to Canelo . . . again. Because . . . Canelo . . . is BETTER than GGG.
if thats whats being seen, im cool with that. your delusions dont affect my life one bit. im still gonna be right, and youre still gonna be waiting for me to be wrong.
GGG fought that way . . . because . . . he couldn't keep up, with his younger, faster, better opponent. If he threw more, early, he would have got hit more, and would have got punished more, and wouldn't have been able to make it to the final bell. So GGG stood there, and blocked, got hit, backed away, blocked, got hit, lost round after round after round (8x) so he could reach the final bell.
Golovkin didn't do anything for the first 8 rounds. He actually had some moments where he looked fast round 8 onwards. Canelo wasn't actually doing that much for the first 8 either, he was winning them, but he wasn't doing anything impressive. You can do two things here, and nothing else: -claim it was a fixed fight because GGG did f all for the first 8 rounds (most rational explanation) -not give Canelo credit because he beat a guy who apparently is so shot he can barely throw a punch.
Hilarious how you guys think your heros are such cowards they would throw a fight in front of the entire world for money rather than just accept the truth they lost to another world class fighter. I like ggg and even past his prime he's been one of canelos 2 toughest opponents but his reflexes are gone it was easy to see
Canelo was doing a lot that was impressive early on. He dominated many of those rounds. Not all, but a good amount of those. GGG looked like a punching bag for most of the fight and Canelo maintained a pretty good work rate in the early going, Canelo also landed a good amount of sharp jabs which was impressive. I just think the judges were trying to give the fight to GGG. If it was even remotely close, I had a feeling GGG would win. 115-113 x2 is absurd. GGG won maybe 2 or 3 round max.
For the first 8 rounds it looked like GGG's reflexes were gone. Canelo had a clear speed advantage, but then as usual Canelo started to gas and by rounds 9-12 it was very competitive late. GGG did look fresher after 12 than Canelo. But that's only because GGG didn't work as hard in the first 8 rounds. He gave away rounds so he wouldn't gas or get hurt, whereas Canelo maintained a high work rate, dominated, but then GGG made it competitive in the last 4 rounds because, Canelo had been working his ass off for 8 round while GGG was doing little to nothing so he could try and come on late. It was similar in the rematch in that regard, only far more one-sided for the first 8 rounds.
Boo hoo. He was coming off a stoppage win. Canelo is just on another level. Always has, always will be. GGG could not beat Canelo in 3 attempts. Fail x3. Canelo >>> GGG. GGG's Jordan Kobe analogy was pretty funny. More like Canelo is Michael Jordan, GGG is Scottie Pippen.
LOL, Did Canelo also ask G to employ terrible defense in this contract? How about moving at 3/4 speed and act like his reflexes are gone? All of which are indicative of an aging fighter past his prime. Nah, age can't be it.
Stopped reading there. No he wasn't, at all. You're either 1. Hard-core unreasonable fanboy 2. Just have no idea what you are watching. The fight was a sparring session. If you don't believe that, (you're stupid) then at least acknowledge that GGG has declined 10 years since the Murata fight and could no longer throw punches, so effectively this fight is null regardless. Deal with it. If we are to continue this conversation at least acknowledge this.
