This is very child like. You cannot accept at minimum that Golovkin was shot. He was inactive for a very lengthy period then he fought another inactive guy in Murata. Canelo is on another level? Are you just saying these things for no treason? You did see Canelo in the ring right? He looked freaking terrible. Horrible foot work, plodding but fast but looping telegraphed punches. If Golovkin actually used his jab Canelo would have been getting his head nutted in. Canelo is very limited
So in your mind, Canelo and his team arranged a meeting with GGG(or was his team included) and offered him/them an X amount of dollars as long as he didn't throw that many punches and GGGs side agreed. Is that about it?
Moving at 3/4 speed... As in you know not trying to win, not pressing the action. And most importantly, one of the most prolific elite jabber with a hefty KO record doesn't even extend his jab out for the first 8 rounds. And all of sudden Golovkins reflexes are back after round 8 and he can actually throw with intent despite the counterpunching threat still being there. Seems legit
We don't know the shady ins and outs of Canelo's team. But no doubt there was some agreement between the parties
LOL Canelo is not limited. Canelo was the one using his jab early. IF GGG actually used his jab, IF GGG did this or that. GGG didn't, while Canelo did. That's the difference. Canelo showed up, put on a clinic of clean, heavy punching, for most of the fight, while GGG Looked like a deer in headlights until Round 9.
So that makes more sense to you than GGG simply being gun-shy early in the fight(whether due to age or a bad game plan) and then picked up the pace late in the fight cause he noticed Canelo lost some steam and knew he needed to do something to change the clear momentum of the fight?
I had Daniel Jacobs winning that fight by 7 rounds to Canelo Alvarez's 5. Jacobs did practically nothing for the first 4-5 rounds and I felt he won the remaining 7 landing and scoring more accurate punches while Alvarez gave the impression he was doing more than he actually was.
Straight up So, in your mind, it's more reasonable for G to take the dive than his age playing a factor in his poor performance. If the fix was in, why then did G try to win in the last few rounds? Let me guess, to make it seem legit. LOL
Yes. That and to ensure Canelo gets the nod. Why did Golovkin start throwing hard punches in the latter rounds? Was he only shot and have slow reflexes for the first half of the fight? Canelo was still looping fast counters in the latter rounds. So Canelo being tired does not fully explain it. Why did an elite jabber with an elite chin not throw a hard punch for 8 rounds? Then all of sudden he was throwing heavy shots?Against a guy he's had 24 rounds with and thus experienced his ability (Canelo's ability has regressses too btw) Was he only "scared" (lmao) of the counters in the first t half of the fight?
In that case Canelo's team dropped the ball they could have thrown in another million and asked GGG to take a dive.
They probably did offer an additional suitcase full of cash, but Golovkin is a proud proud man. After all he's a fighter first business man second.
