115-113. Draw or 115-113 for Canelo is somewhat understandable if you give him any of the 1/6/8 rounds, although I personally couldn't see it. 8th perhaps since he landed that sweet three punch combination.

The fact that some people are saying Golovkin won this fight tells you everything you need to know about their previous cards too.....

They give a lot of credit to the light sparring jab GGG used after the 8th round, while Canelo stayed commited to give the fans a KO. GGG deserved to lose this fight, it's not olympic it's professional fighting. And the fans deserve to see a war.

Canelo looked gassed in the last rounds and he admitted he was "fatigued ". WTF...a man in the prime of his life at 32, smacking a guy around for 7 out of the first 8 rounds IMO without taking any hard shots, and he's tired?

I think this says alot about Canelo. A lot. He's on the downward slope and unless he finds more taxi drivers to win belts for his "legacy " then we've seen the best of Canelo. Bivol, Benevidez, Zurdo, maybe the Charlos beat him cleanly now.

He got mentally tired because every thing Canelo threw at GGG had no affect.

    R1 Canelo 10–9 Golovkin
    R2 Canelo 10–9 Golovkin
    R3 Canelo 10–9 Golovkin
    R4 Canelo 10–9 Golovkin
    R5 Canelo 10–9 Golovkin
    R6 Canelo 10–9 Golovkin
    R7 Canelo 10–9 Golovkin
    R8 Canelo 10–9 Golovkin
    R9 Canelo 9–10 Golovkin
    R10 Canelo 9–10 Golovkin
    R11 Canelo 9–10 Golovkin
    R12 Canelo 9–10 Golovkin

    Canelo 116–112 Golovkin

Not a challenging one to score until the late rounds. Canelo was free to box Golovkin's ears off from 1-8 until the old man felt it safe to start putting his foot down and introduce aggression, presumably in the hopes of grinding out a late stoppage over a guy who'd led the dance for eight rounds while he conserved himself.

7th was the first round where I felt Golovkin could have a case, and even that was more of a comparative thing, still felt Canelo shaded it. Gave Trip Gee the benefit of the doubt in the 9th, but it wasn't exactly cut and dried. Similar story in the 10th, 11th and 12th rounds. Screw it, I gave him them all.

One official score was slightly too generous to Golovkin. No matter.

Bout wasn't bad viewing purely in and of itself. In context, though, being the final chapter in a supposedly bitter and fiery rivalry for the ages, it was something of a damp squib.

When does he ever? The finish always just comes or it doesn't with that guy.

Which is why you'll never see Canelo in with Benevidez, he'd make Canelo work and when the gas tank is empty near round 9 he gets beat up

    Reasonable score.

I had it 7-5, giving Golovkin the first round and the last four.

Plus Benevidez is Mexican which automatically eleminates him from the bout.
