Couldn't see if this had its own thread or not. Coming up this weekend in Manchester. Anyone going? Anyone looking forward to it? Looks to me like an equivalent of the recent Ruiz-Ortiz bout in America. The winner increases their chances of nabbing a title fight some time down the line, the loser is backed up a bit in the queue. Any thoughts on how it will play out etc.
I'm going Parker. Seems much improved under Andy Lee and Joyce is far too easy to hit. It's alright taking them punches off Takam and Hammer but Parker seems to be hitting much harder these days.
Looking forward to this. I keep changing my mind. When it was first announced I picked Joyce but Parker is looking good and he has definitely improved. I'll still be supporting Joyce, hope he can get the win .
Really like Joyce and hope he can get the job done. Such a strong undercard, really looking forward to it. Can see Heaney getting turned over by Flatley
Both are likeable guys but I'd like to see Joyce get banjo'd just because it would make Sam Jones cry.
Joyce to KO/TKO Parker between rounds 9-12 - 8/1 now that seems a value bet. And not as unlikely as the odds suggest. I expect Joyce to get hit but I don't think Parker will trouble him. I expect Joyce to remain at the same monotonous high pace throughout, punching hard and finding the target consistently. I think this will gas Parker out towards the end and who knows, maybe Andy Lee has to throw the towel in!!!
