"Deontay Wilder intentionally avoided an offer to fight Anthony Joshua in order to concentrate on his upcoming fight against Robert Helenius."

Sounds reasonable to me. He should worry about what's in front of him now after back-to-back losses.

Hearn makes this offer before Usyk v Joshua 2
so is interesting to know what he had in mind.

Sounds reasonable that if a fighter already has a fight scheduled you don't want to be distracted which is likely to be a protracted negotiation.

But having said that with Wilder's track record regarding Joshua, it could be construed as simply another excuse to avoid taking the fight and Joshua had no issue reaching out to discuss a potential fight while preparing for the Usyk rematch.

I guess we'll see what happens after the Helenius fight. But nobody should be surprised if Wilder fights Ruiz instead for less money rather than finally face Joshua.

Meanwhile, Joshua ignored an offer to feed Nigeria's poor.
He was busy partying in Dubai and pretending to care about his people.
We all have stuff to do, can't please everyone!

I'd favour Wilder. The right hand will land eventually and it'll be lights out for Joshua.

Let Wilder fight Helenius and then see what the lay of the land is.

AJ Fury and Wilder Usyk would be perfect

Other than the Klitschko's, I can't remember another recent heavyweight who did anything for charity. Especially for a country other than their own.

I'll never understand why Wilder is scared of Joshua and Whyte

Wilders side has been doing everything but focus on Helenius. They have been talking about fighting the Ruiz/Ortiz winner for a while with Showtime commentary acting like that fights next without even mentioning Helenius.
