PS. Don’t give him anything to counter…make it a boring fight

I think Bob Foster and Spinks would put Roy to sleep at some point in a 15 round fight. Both had excellent jabs to set up the bombs which Roy couldn't handle

I think you should add more like 15 lbs., or approaching 10% of bodyweight as that is what many did, & I believe him too.

You have to have a good chin, and the will to stay the course with him when the waters get rough. Most important, a BIG BOMB of a punch, and the willingness to let your hands go.

Too many were intimidated and didn't want to get close to him. There would have been some throughout history that would have had a chance, although athletic-wise, Roy would have it over almost anyone you mention. That can be overcome though.

Pressure. Pressure. Pressure. A solid pressure fighter with a good chin, punching power & technical ability could give Jones an L below 175. This may shock some people, but I think Prime Barkley at 160 could do the job. He was a much better boxer in his earlier days, a lot faster & didn't just rely on brawling & power (like he would post Hearns I). He'd have all the tools to get the win & pull off an upset...

You put him in with Gerald McClellan.

I think that Qawi given his substantial natural size advantage, Iron chin and style he could also pose big issues for Roy. He might just chase him down and force the issue too often for Roy not to avoid being stopped.

I do remember Roycott. He pissed me off so bad by not taking on Benn in '96, Michalczewski in '98 or Hopkins in '02. I think Hopkins wanted a 50/50 split though. Even facing Steve Collins after he beat Eubank and Benn would've been interesting.

But RJJ did fight some good fighters like Reggie Johnson and almost ridding the world of John "The Insomnia Cure" Ruiz.

RJJ-McClellan was maybe the biggest missed SuperFight of the 90's. That would've been...****IN. AWESOME.

Chris Eubank Sr said at a dinner that having to turn pro to pay bills in 85 allowed him to be great, because had he stayed amateur to go for the 88 Olys he might of ‘had 5 or 6 Hagler-Hearns fights’ against Roy Jones, Gerald McClellan, Frank Liles and Tim Littles; which wouldn’t of allowed him to be great because they’d of taken so much out of him.

No two fighters had speed and power like Jones Jr and the G-Man. They even had the similar skin tone and hair, similar age….their am fight was astonishing by all accounts.

I think I’d start with a 2x4 block of wood, nice and sturdy and at least 4 feet long. Maybe a knife for infighting. I’d say a gun but Roy would probably slip and dodge the bullets as he saw them go past in slow motion, Matrix style.

Hmm. He tended to turn his head, crook his neck and even close his eyes when shots were coming his way. A shame he never faced a great feinter.

He wasn’t like this at all.

That's an interesting pick and not at all out of the question . The left hook Barkley hit Duran with would put Roy out.

Once you've horrendously lost on points or been knocked out, in bed that night try and dream a scenario in which you won.

Or send in Qawi. RJJ doesn't have the power to wipe the grin off his face.
