This content is protected I hate Casimero for messing up repeatedly and robbing the boxing world of seeing him flattened by Donaire or Inoue. That said, Butler is Slick Lite and will present Inoue w/ a unique proposal — lots of movement and composure. Inoue will have to track him down and break him down. Butler doesn't win, but he's not getting blown out until Inoue pours it on him. Butler lasts at least 6 rounds, most likely.
Jason Maloney (Las Vegas) Emmanuel Rodriguez (Glasgow) Antonio Nieves (Carson) Michael Dasmarinas (Las Vegas) All dominant KOs on the road. It's safe to say Inoue isn't averse to traveling for fights. In fact, his deal w/ Top Rank was to build him up in the US, but then the pandemic happened and everything just kinda fizzled. But he's the man in Japan with a large fan base, a high ranking P4Per, and he's never been the beneficiary of dodgy scorecards, so why wouldn't opponents go to him? I hope Fulton or MJ happens in the US because I'm going to those fights in person.
Sure! We can go back to my place afterwards. I have a cool soundproof room in my basement that has a drain.
How does Inoue's team overcome fighters potentially ducking him? Seems like fighters are always willing to get in the ring w the Monster.
It’s pretty much a given on who wins, just a matter of when Inoue finishes him. I’m sure Paul Butler will try his best and make an effort to win but he’ll be outgunned by the more talented fighter. Still a meaningful fight for Inoue despite the forgone conclusion. Once he beats Butler he can finally move up to bigger challenges with Fulton and MJ.
Undisputed cements him as an ATG, Fulton and MJ are for giving him claim as the best fighter ever below 126.
Inoue better not overlook Butler... Andy Ruiz KOing Anything Joshua. Robson Conceicao schooling Oscar Valdez. Sandor Martin schooling Mikey Garcia. Vincent Astrolabio schooling Guillermo Rigondeaux. Juan Maciel Montiel taking Jermall Charlo deep. All these dudes came out of nowhere. I'm more worried about Butler than Fulton and MJ because Inoue would train like a madman against them.
Inoue isn't the kind of fighter to overlook anyone. I'm sure he's training like mad in preparation against Butler.
Most definitely. If Inoue manages to clean up 122 as well then there is no doubt that he's one of the very best of his era.
Sometimes it's not an option and that applies to all fighters. He couldn't possibly have the same motivation against Butler as he would Fulton/MJ or the Nonito rematch. Like Pac-Horn (had Pac winning handily, but no way Pac was motivated for that fight).
How can he not be motivated if he’s fighting to be undisputed? Doesn’t matter if it’s Paul Butler he still has the only remaining title that Inoue needs to clean the division. No way is Inoue not hungry for this fight.
