You can already tell he is making moves to get on Matchroom’s good side so when Probellum goes under he can try and get a gig at Matchroom. Probably as their Head PR guy for press conferences/media etc and let Frank Smith deal with all the serious stuff once Eddie takes a back seat.
I can't see it, he's a completely different character. Eddie, for any of his faults, wasn't a wannabe - he decided to grow his firm's boxing business from basically nothing and grafted (with a good stable business backing it up with investment) to get there. Jones is just an entryist trying to steal a living.
Lmfao. Windass. Probably the thickest c*nt ever to play for Rangers and that’s saying something. Guy knows very little about boxing too, some of the crap he comes out with on social media is totally cringeworthy. The obsession with podcasts these days is totally out of hand. Do people think they will strike a Joe Rogan type deal that will earn them millions just to talk utter rubbish? It’s just symptomatic of the “me, me, me! Look and listen to me!” social media culture today where everyone and anyone believes their opinions must be heard. Genuinely feel sorry for anyone who feels that they could benefit from hearing from Windass, Coldwell and Jones through their headphones. I’d happily rather listen to an hour of Katie Taylor yodelling on full blast than listen to this podcast during a commute.
There’s a sound guy at my gym who spends a lot of time on his failed podcast which is about relationship advice and he genuinely spends a lot of time on it and paying money presumably for guests. Had a look at some vids the other day and he’s gets <5 views per podcast. I don’t know how people put time and effort into this. If you don’t get at least 1,000 views per podcast, just give up and if you don’t have like a 10k follower social media platform just don’t even think about starting a podcast.
A friend of mine does it on YouTube reviewing phones and related accessories. Some of the videos get 10 views but some get a few thousand. Over time he's built up a big archive and collectively the long tail of those videos earns him a decent side income (I say "decent" in that it's not enough to stop working yet, but some months it pays more than the day job).
Met Sam Jones a couple of years ago along with Joe Joyce and Ismael Salas. Two of them couldn’t of been nicer, humble and grounded, one of them was as you would say.. basically a bit of a c**t. Any guesses?
My mates ex started one in the first lockdown going down the let's talk about mental health route - it mostly consisted of her and her co host using the word literally a lot and ironically made me want to self harm in the minute or so I listened to it.
One of my workmates basically talks like that, but basically inserts the word basically into basically every part of every sentence, basically. Makes me want to eat my face off.
