HOF... maybe he's close... his 10 defenses means he's in the discussion, despite how weak the quality of opposition in those defenses.

    ATG? Laughable claim imo.

    Precisely..

Yesterday, Dwyer said that as long as Fury keeps winning, it boosts Wilder's legacy since he knocked Fury down.......

Does that mean if Wilder keeps Knocking cans out it boosts Dustin Nichols' legacy too, by that logic?

I agree with you, but he's gonna get in just off the strength of those 10 weak defenses and that he's being considered by some as one of the greatest HW punchers in history, Just watch. Insane, but I'm certain that this will be what takes place, he definitely isn't close to being deserving of that accolade IMO though.

HOF as in IBHOF? I'd say say he's an easy IBHOFamer.

Wilder is a manufactured fraud. So he fits right in there with many other HOFers

He hasn't done anything to earn being a HOF.

Surely a HOF should have a win better than 40 year old Ortiz?

Yeah, 105 pound boxers like Ottke, Maske and Michalczewski. You're talking about LHWs, calling them minimumweights. Where does it end?

Half of that list is 126+

Apparently, you never heard of Ivan Calderon or Sot Chitalada. Who'd they routinely obliterate in title fights who outweighed them by 20 or 30 pounds again?

Same with Ottke, Maske and Michalczewski for that matter.

Wilder's eighth title defense was not against a B or C class boxer, but against Tyson Fury.
It is true that Wilder should have lost that fight on points.

It's the "Hall of Fame" not the "Hall of Skills" so he's in for sure. His 3 fights with Fury sealed the deal.

Wilder will definitely get into the IBHOF, mainly because he's an American.

He even avoided Kevin Johnson before he took the WBC belt, and Dillian Whyte later! He only fought Fury because his handlers thought Fury was shot after his inactivity and massive weight again and subsequent loss.

It sad that some who are more deserving like Dariusz M are excluded.

Nothing boosts either guys legacy unless one of them starts fighting live bodies. Fury will fight Charr in December, if there is any way he can manage it.

His outfits that he wears into the ring should secure his place....if nothing else.

I think he’ll get in, but to be deserving, a couple more strong wins…AJ and maybe a younger guy, and yeah he’s deserving.
