I think logic points out to Joyce.. But let's not forget that Parker has been training with Tyson Fury since the day the fight was announced, so Do not be surprised if he pulls out an upset. Not even sure how much of an upset that would be. Another thing is: everyone is acting like Joyce is 25 and is the new HW prospect.. sorry but the guys is chasing his 38.
Sure, if you want to count a green, unproven prospect who only knows how to throw a 1-2. It's not much better.
Yep and look what one of those old men didn't look too old vs Makhmudov and lets not forget that old man at 35 gave Parker a very competitive fight.
What changes Parker will have made will definitely make things interesting. I'm expecting a competitive fight regardless of who wins so wouldn't be that shocked if Parker did beat Joyce. But based on what I have seen of both, I have to favour Joyce. I wouldn't say he's chasing 38, he only just turned 37 a few days ago. Plus he's a young 37 as he started boxing late and doesn't have as much wear on his body as a typical 37 year old boxer who normally would of been boxing professionally for over decade at this age.
Another undercard that sucks. Won't purchase. Tiered seating in the arena sold pretty good but floored seating sales have been poor. With a weak undercard I imagine PPV sales won't be the best. PPV fights are onto the way out unless promoters make undercards great again
I agree. This is a distance fight no doubt in my mind. Parker is durable with a decent chin and Big Joe is a sturdy strong boy. It will be Joyce’s strength vs Parker’s speed. I can see them neutralising each other to an extent, though I can see Parker being put on the deck at some stage.
Joyce by UD is the most likely outcome but it will be close imo. My gut feeling is this one will either be really exciting or really boring.
Ok, you dont know much about joyce, and you don't rate him, thats fair enough, but we know plenty enough about how average parker is, dont we! I'm telling you now, "fast hands" parker has no chance of beating joyce, NONE!
I think Joyces age is going to start catching up with him. He's 37 now and Parker is 30. It might be telling here.
I will be surprised if Joyce wins on the cards. Can only see a Parker win on points or a Joyce win by TKO/KO. I’m 50/50 on which one, but I lean more towards Parker on points.I think he is the better boxer and durable enough to survive the juggernaut. I like Joyce though, he lacks skills and is not exactly blessed with charisma, but the guy is a unit and just keeps coming. He will always have a shot at the knockout, but not on points imo.
