He's fought a grand total of one world champion in his 44 fights and they were way past their best Not the same Same not
Not if he stays at 175lbs....Bivol could school him Beterbiev would wreck him He could move to Cruiserweight and fight some soft touches there
Floyd thought us it was all about the numbers. Not about the weightclass (Marciano's record) or about where and when you fought which opposition... it was just about the raw numbers. If Wanheng called it quits after Fukuhara he would had been the greatest f-er. That's how it works. So, maybe Gilberto can become the greatest of all time within a couple of fights... who knows?!
He definitely seems to have somewhat of wasted career at this point. The guy is a pretty good fighter but has been horribly managed throughout his career. No doubt Bivol should be favored in this fight but it would not shock me if Zurdo wins. He may be boring but he does a lot of things well and while I wouldn't bet on it, I could see him pulling an upset and finally doing something with his career.
Make no mistake about it, Zurdo is a live underdog against Bivol. In fact, at these odds I may have to put some money on Zurdo. The reach differential is not insignificant. This content is protected
Although Floyd was a manufactured cherrypicking fraud at least he wasn't a scummy untalented weight bully
He did end his career on a very weak note. Would have been nice if he rematched Pac and fought a young guy like Thurman to finish up. But, I do think he had a very good resume. Many of the guys he beat went on to regain titles again. I mean is it really that big of a cherrypick when the he beat a future beltholder?
