It's clear that the problem is on Joshua's side. The rest is speculation.

Eds right. I think it's Tyson that is giving everyone including Frank the runaround.

    seriously
    Fury's deadlines are silly
but he's probably frustrated by having to wait
why does it have to be more complicated than that?

    definitely
it's strange in the sense they are the ones who were talking like they need 10 or more weeks training absolute minimum.
    but are slow to sign
i think they are dragging their feet a little

I have no doubt Joshua personally wants it
he knows it's a great opportunity
but the broadcasters and promoter are probably less enthusiastic
they want to milk him a few more fights I reckon

Actually I would also say a third loss puts AJ in the exact same position. Comeback fight followed by a Dillian Whyte big fight. Followed by hopefully a title fight or hopefully Wilder etc.

Fury meanwhile planned to take an easy few mil payday against Charr or Chisora. Then fight Usyk for Saudi money then the AJ fight summer next year. But being typical fury he speaks before he thinks and called out AJ but took it too far. It makes no sense for either guy to have this fight now. They are earning a fraction of what they could in summer 23

I think he's probably seriously looking to get out of the game soon
& figures AJ might lose to any bum in the meantime and retire before he does
so was looking for that AJ payday before career finale with Usyk

Not with a Monday deadline set by Fury who wants Charr in a nice little £5-7m payday.

the broadcasters are meeting along with the promoters on Monday. Whatever is discussed then goes into a contract with 4 different legal teams to review its what was agreed. That alone takes atleast another week. Contract wouldn’t even be amended until Tuesday at the earliest

That too. Is possible but it wouldnt have been hard to agree to a summer 23 fight with AJ now and tel AJ to fight Schwarz level guys in his next 2 before that fight. Only other thing is maybe Tyson is more worried about Usyk than he lets on.

he’s never liked that smaller cruiser style

    yeah it's all possible
Fury definitely needs to fight either Usyk and/ or Joshua within his next two fights though.
I can't see him making the paydays he wants without those two.

There is no blame here. Fury wants to remain active. He's got a date lined up. Setting up a big fight like this is going to be complicated and they may need time they haven't got. That's all there is to it. Nobody is ducking anybody. Grow up.
Do you honestly think Tyson Fury is some kind of Machiavellian genius that is playing everyone to hype up a fight against a B level opponent?

And how would it even hype up the fight anyway. Teasing a Fury V Joshua fight and then fighting Charr instead will turn people off the fight as they now know what might have been.

What's Frank supposed to say? He's got s potential big fight with Fury and Joyce. Like he's gonna screw that up.
