You explained why they survived and then said Joyce would do the exact opposite. That’s why Joyce gets stopped. You think Joyce would have stopped Parker if he fought exclusively to survive? Probably not, considering it took him 11 and an exhausted Parker to do it.
Green fought to survive and held on religiously, Tillis was a fleet footed Heavyweight nothing like Joyce, Tucker was a skilled boxer/mover who also held on alot again nothing Joyce. And neither of these fighters were scared of Tyson either. Joyce is a slow come forward fighter who is easy to hit, that's a recipe for disaster against Tyson. Joyce doesn't hold or fight on the backfoot like those fighters you mentioned above who survived vs Tyson.
I would go with Mike in this one, whilst most people seem to think that Joyce is some kind of Ivan Drago now, people forget Mike was always mostly up against bigger men due to his own size, which he always used to his advantage, the crouch, the weaving and his fast combinations, i see a similar slugfest to the Ruddock fights, but if we are talking 1988 version of Tyson then that is a different story, and i think he would get a wide decision over Joyce, i am not going to say he stops him because that would be wrong as nobody has managed to put a dent in him just yet.
Let's throw in some math... Joyce is 6'6" while Tyson is 5'10" and fights out of a crouch where he's usually 5'8". The constant jab is the best tool Joyce brings into the fight for offense, while his chin is the best tool Joyce possesses for defense. Joyce would have to Jab approximately six inches downward at Tyson when he is fighting in the peekaboo style. This would not only cause the jab to have less power but would open up his chin to fast counters. Joyce may have an indestructible chin but his ribs aren't. A prime Tyson was a viscous body puncher. Joyce doesn't simply walk through Tyson who even fifteen years out of his prime took Lennox Lewis best shots for eight rounds. I wouldn't write Joyce off to survive tweleve, but he's the severe underdog here.
No, Dubois didn`t hit Joce that much and only fought in spurts a lot of his shots were partially blocked by Joyce`s right glove as he moved away to his right.
He ko`d Parker while J and nobody else Parker fought could, he`s improving, his body attack wore Parker down.
He'd have to punch even lower to hit Tyson's body in a crouch, he doesn't have the footwork to pull it off while maintaining defense without getting hit by one of the fastest, hardest combination punchers in history. Prime Tyson didn't get hit often.
He fought Joshua 4 years ago when he was undefeated with everything including his confidence intact. He has been roughed up by whyte, chisora and so on since then. He isn’t the same fresh fighter, so your argument is not valid
Tysons ferocious power vs Joyce's cement chin? I think Tyson puts a crack in Joyces chin with a leaping left hook and sends him reeling into the ropes where the explosive hooks and uppercuts that follow send him to the canvas.
I think Joyce would have a little success to the body but, if you watch the first bruno fight he landed a couple of decent hooks to the body and Mikes reaction was always immediately, he put it straight back on him and was vicious when doing it...
