Roughly the same size I reckon. 15 rounder choose your own versions.

DeJesus starts out very good then gradually gets broken down

Chavez would dismantle him very badly. I never understood how EDJ had a three fight series with Duran and even beat Roberto once, knocking him down twice in those fights. Duran should have put him away easily instead of turning that into a trilogy.

That seems like a weird way of looking at it. If he beat Duran once and made it a trilogy obviously he was very good for the version of Roberto he fought. Chances are Esteban would’ve been a good champion had Roberto not come about similar to how Benitez was unseated by Leonard it looks almost premature. I don’t know.

DeJesus was a very very good fighter. Nobody walked right through him. Your not giving him the credit he deserves

Esteban De Jesus is a bit like Ken Norton. Thanks to one big, famous win, he is overrated. Please don't get it twisted. De Jesus was a world champion and was much better than Norton but he is still overrated due to scoring a knockdown and decisioning Roberto Duran in the first of their three fights. De Jesus was very good and, perhaps, even great for a short time. However, he was a couple of levels below Chavez and would lose to JCC just like he lost to Duran in their other fights and Antonio Cervantes.

Chavez by decision or late round stoppage.

You had to be an exceptional boxer to beat JCC. Whitaker had to pull out all the stops and had to use a perfect game plan to do what he did, (really won, but was robbed). DeJesus was nowhere near that good. Traditional style fighters were never a problem for Chavez because he always over-powered his opponents.

Did I say DeJesus would beat him? No I didn't. I said DeJesus was a very good fighter. He was smart and crafty with good power. Nobody ever walked through him and Chavez wouldn't either.

I never said you did. Just simply responded to your comment with my thoughts about him and my feelings on that matchup.

I think Julio stops Esteban late from 12 to 13, but it would be a good one early. Just too strong for him, just like he was for Rosario.

Difference between Esteban and Norton is one has the entire forum calling them an ATG the other is known as just the guy who Duran fought at 135lbs. Tell me who is overrating Esteban? Most don’t even know who he is outside the trilogy and I doubt half of the forum has seen even that despite what they’ll tell you.
