I do apologise for my usage of slang, that clearly was not in line with my cultural background. Riakporhe is rubbish/crap/wank/bollocks as a boxer.
I haven't read every line of their regulations, but my understanding is Okolie would have to be a WBO super champion to become auto-mandatory for another division. Basically he needs to unify the belt at cruiserweight, first. (There are other ways to get around it, such as being a big name fighter, but I don't think he qualifies currently)
You get the WBO super belt when you become undisputed - that's how Usyk got his shot at Joshua and how Taylor could have had a shot at Crawford (Crawford leaving Top Rank scuppered that).
Didn't realise you had to be super champ. Always thought it was just the WBO rule for a champ moving up, once again I was wrong!
I'm biased for Riakporhe due to having mutual acquaintance but he isn't poor. I would back him against Makabu and the French world champion that hasn't fought since 2019. That said I do believe Okolie beats him.
I just feel he is lacking in key areas physically and mentally, and that he scrapes by on his physical size and power alone as opposed to someone like Okolie who utilises his size quite well. I want to root for Riakporhe because he is humble, down to earth, camp Whyte and all that whereas Okolie is big headed, ego driven not a fan of his personality. But credit where credit is due and Okolie is far sharper and a complete package. Riakporhe always looks tired and lethargic before the fight has even begun, and runsout of gas quickly. He looks so visibly depeleted all the time. He also lacks the desire/confidence/ killer instinct that Okolie has when he’s in the ring. Okolie is so laser focused and commited with every punch, right balance of aggression and control. Plus Riakporhe been in a lot of close fights compared to Okolie, shows levels between them. just my opinion!
That is true, but it's not always a necessary requirement. But perhaps that's if you have sufficient "star power": Joshua was WBO superchampion since 2018 They elevated Canelo to a Super Champion after beating Kovalev too.
Too early to say. Would need to see what Okolie's power is like in heavyweight. If he can move up like Haye did, then I can see him competing at HW.
He will face much higher level competition than Haye if he wants to win a belt. Haye only beat pitiful competition. So ridiculously overrated at heavyweight and moderately overrated at cruiserweight.
