I'd like to see the veteran version of George Foreman give it a go. I'd be doubtful if he won but would like to see Foreman use his experience in what may be a tactical fight. Also I think prime Evander Holyfield would be a challenge for Tyson Fury with his speed, stamina and strength. It's probable Fury would use his range and try and clip Holyfield with hooks of his jab and come forward and try and put all his weight on him. Lennox Lewis has a real chance to beat Fury with his jab and footwork.
Again no guarantee any of these beat Fury but I think the match ups are interesting enough.

It was said the same of Ali, Fury tends to fight to his opponents quality, meaning he can go through the gears when needed to, he's much better than some of the performances we've seen from him, the question is, could he find those gears when facing elite opposition, if he beats Usyk that question will be answered.

Jim Jeffries has the proper grit to complete the task.

I think most here think he can beat Joshua. Beating Usyk would roundly improve his ATG status imo, certainly more than Joshua and Ruiz imo.

Fury,in my opinion,is the best heavyweight of this current century after Lennox Lewis. He would not go unbeaten against the greats of yesteryear but undoubtably a major talent.

It might be worth adding that John McDermott arguably beat him.

I understand that Fury was very green, but that is a Marciano Lowry level what if!

Doesn't matter if anyone could. Many of those who eventually could lost to other who might lose to Fury, just as we know that 1+1 doesn't equal 2 in boxing. This won't make him less great just as the losses of the great we remember didn't make them less great. See it the other way: legendary boxers who Fury could beat.

    Many heavyweights beat Fury.
#1 Ali. ( prime) Ali to fast, to skilled. Slightly past prime Ali ( 71-74) too quick of hand and smart.
#2Larry Holmes Holmes would out jab him, take him into deep water drown him, esp in a 15 rd fight.
#3 Prime Liston, another great jabber which Fury wouldn't have an answer for.
#4 Lewis great jab and right hand, Fury wouldn't be able to manhandled him, nor does he have the power of the fighters that koed Lewis.
#6 Holyfield prime Holy would be simply to quick of hand and feet.
#7 Both the Kleichkos Brothers Both wouldn't be overwhelmed by Fury's size and weight. Both were better fighters in their primes
#8 Mike Tyson . Prime Tyson would be my pick to ko Fury the fastest. He wouldn't last 5 rds with Prime Tyson. Styles make fights.
#9 Joe Frazier prime Frazier fought a slightly smaller but better skilled version of Fury in Buster Douglas Sr. The results were Tiiiiimmmmberrrrr for Frazier.
#10 Joe Louis the fighter Fury would have the best chance against on my list. But Fury has never seen counter punching, speed , and power Louis was capable of. But Louis beat a few fighters almost as big as Fury.
#11 Tim Witherspoon if focused and in shape. Just a better fighter
#12 Bowe in his prime maybe the fighter to beat him as quickly as Tyson.
#13 Prime George Foreman, Foreman though smaller than Fury was much more powerful and physically stronger. Fury's best chance would be to get into Foreman's head the way Ali did( He is certainly capable of that) frustrate him early and take him into the later rds. But Fury isn't Ali and watching him huff and puff as early as 6 rds isn't a good sign he'd be able to pull off what Ali pulled off.
There's a few contenders like Jimmy Young, and Chris Byrd, who would be able to frustrate Fury, and sneak a dec win.
There's many past heavyweights some who were just contenders who'd beat Fury in my opinion.

He barely squeaked by 39 year old Wlad and never gave a rematch. Wilder can’t box. Otto Wallin gave him a good fight. So did Steve Cunningham. Fury is beatable as all fighters are. We would know more if he fought more often against good opponents. Hoping he has 1-2 big fights left. Usyk, Joshua, Joyce

I absolutely think Usky can beat him with his speed ... Fury likes to set a pace but really does not throw many punches per round .. unless he's allowed to hang his 270 pound body all over him I see him upset ..
