He can be very slappy, especially right up into the 1st fight with Wilder. After that I think his trainer worked with him on sitting into his punches more. He'll never hit like Wlad, but he's not far from Norton level power, which was never negligible. Of course, that level of power is incongruent with someone of Fury's size.

He had to fight the most cautious fight in heavyweight title fight history against a 40 year old washed up Wlad in his prime and he was knocked down half a dozen times by a novice

All respect, I'm with you on the Past list.

I'm not sure on AJ at all, especially based upon his beating up of old man Wlad in 2017. I don't think either Fury or AJ's win over that well past it Ukrainian really add up to much. I honestly think Wilder would have ko'd Wlad at either of those stages (and AJ too, even at his best).

AJ has never shown an ounce of the heart either Fury or Wilder showed in their trilogy. I understand that by far Fury's greatest wins are against Wilder, absolutely. But imo Wilder would have beaten any other heavyweight who wasn't Fury in those fights.

I know, I know, Deontay's mortally flawed. But a great heart and punch cover a multitude of sins imo. I don't see Joyce or Usyk beating either of them, either....even though I know I'll receive flak for that last in particular. Usyk has proven to be a fine technician, but I don't see blood and guts from him, he's about as robotic as Wlad or early-to-mid 70s Foreman.

Again, this all just my opinion, all respect to yours. I actually find your Present list very interesting.

Yes, I think he's an ATG.

But he could make his case even stronger with one or two more victories before he hangs them up.

He NEEDS to fight Usyk, and he SHOULD also face AJ at some point.

Victories against these opponents would put the question beyond debate.

It’s nothing to do with his prime.

    It’s the style.

Mike Tyson would have been problematic to Tyson.

Usyk also will be if they fight.

All this hyperbole concerning Tyson Fury is out of control. Yes, he is huge. And, yes, he can box a little. But, he is far from an elite technician in the ring. Quite frankly, one could compare his ring accomplishments to Nickolai Valuev (who, often won due to similar size advantages.) It may sound ridiculous at first glance, but, the facts ( at least so far) show otherwise. Tyson fury is quicker of hand and foot than the slow moving Valuev, but, he is not really in a different league, skill wise. Valuev is taller, heavier, has a better chin, and hits harder than Fury. He has far more wins than Fury, a higher knockout percentage, and several more title wins than Fury.
Yet, nobody is making these absurd claims that nobody in history could beat Valuev.
If Tyson fury steps up and beats more formidable prime opponents in the next few years, his standing could and should increase. As it stands now, the hype is just preposterous.

I’m not a fan of AJ’s, but I think that he’s shown heart before.

I don’t see how Wilder would have beaten any other HW.

I don’t see how he’d land on a guy like Usyk, in order to take him out.

    Usyk is robotic?

Wilder has a chance against anybody, due to his speed, power, confidence and unpredictability.

    He’s very exciting.

His flaws make him extremely dangerous.

However, he has shown at the highest level that he struggles if his power can’t get him the win.

I think that Usyk would be a significant favourite.

It surprises me that you think that Usyk is robotic.

He throws a variety of shots from different angles.

He’s hasn’t got the 1-2 clinch style that Wlad had in many of his fights.

Usyk is quite the impressive fighter, but I don't see blood and thunder in his fights. His skill set is vastly admirable for sure. I want to see him get seriously hurt, then roar back for a win. To me the two fights with AJ mostly showcased Joshua's multitudinous flaws.

If I had to pick just one heavyweight in heavyweight history, who would beat Tyson Fury; I would choose peak Lennox Lewis.
And the peak of Lennox Lewis IMO was the year 2000.

    Correctemundo

A morbid obese non ranked nobody Burrito stopped the undefeated Bodybuilder......AJ is no yard stick whatsoever..........local club fighter Chisora who never ever won a meaningful fight lasted the distance.

Foreman/Tyson/Bowe would be charged with man slaughter against those two and both would be stopped eventually against the relative light punching Holyfield.
