Being serious.... I hope he doesn't come back. After the way he was treated was diabolical. Kept in jail heavily sedated for months because they had no case against him. Till he eventually capitulated & copped a plea. Then they really did it to him gave him max sentence 5-30 yrs. Yes he might be in great form physically but what about his timing he's been out of the ring too long
As he was when they destroyed his career only one man stood a chance of beating him That was Lennox Lewis. That would have been a barnburner. Todays clowns he'd destroy in his prime
I wish him a long happy healthy life. Was glad to know you Mr President !!

Not true!! He was kept in jail 14 months heavily sedated without being charged because all they had was a known hooker who claimed she only came to his room to DANCE for him !!!!!! ROFL Is there anyone here believes that ?????
They argued over $$$$ Ike refused to pay her . She then threaten to scream ****. Ike said Go ahead. so she did. She wasn't touched let alone beaten up by Ike . He locked himself in the bathroom till they came & the police arrested him

They already fought each other 4-5 times in the Murderer's Row era.

Seriously, if they wanted to make some money for and with Ike, he could still have a great career. All they would have to do would be revive the Larry Holmes "senior's" belt.

Briggs would fight him in a heartbeat, then they could make some phone calls and pivot to a Tua rematch, Rahman SR., Ruddock, Maskeav, Ray Austin, Davarrell Williamson, McCline, Sam Peter, Lance Whitaker, Lyakovich...any number of guys you could think of. When Ike racks up 5-6 wins, and the buzz is there, a mega fight could be make against a Klitschko, providing of course that the war is over by then.

Al lot of people are rolling there eyes at this, but I am telling you this is money on the table.

What you are contemplating was the very cause of Ike's problem.
All Kushner & co saw was $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ What they could make out of him. Ike needed help not incarceration One man, the late great Curtis Cokes tried his best. He'd transformed Ike from a crude brawler to the complete boxer/puncher & was on the verge of a title shot but knew he had problems
Once they'd got a way to take him down they lowered the boom.
Instead of being back boxing in 6 months,as they'd promised the woman judge gave him the max she could 5-30 yrs
All those months incarcerated while heavily sedated would play havoc with anyone mind like it did Ike's. Kushner & the rest couldn't make $$$$ any more so they practically abandoned him.
Ike never stood a chance. I wish him the best in his life& that would mean saying no to the leeches

You know CJ, 95% of the time I think you are one of the better guys on here to post with, but we have been though this before and I don't care to rehash it. Everyone needs money, and Ike, because of his legend, can still make it. If you think the guy was largely innocent...I don't agree...but if you think the guy was largely innocent, then all the more reason to get him some WINNABLE fights and let him retire with a good legacy and fat bank account.

Good luck to you and him.

I'm thinking about his health. That long jail sentence they railroaded him with combined with those months of heavy sedation would make him unfit to compete. If Curtis was still here he'd tell him " No Big Fella youve been through enough" That's what Curtis used to call him in the gym Big fella
Your health is worth more than money any day
Nice talking to you my friend. Good Luck to you too
