Whyte was cleared of any wrong doing. WBC acted inappropriatly and srtipped Whyte of his mandatory wrongly.

No mate, The rematch clause was in place, so it didn't count that he was eliminated in an eliminator, strangely though, it did mean that Povetkin was eliminated.

He did have it removed. Then the WBC president stated before the rematch that the winner the rematch would be mandatory. Then after the fight the president change his mind and denied this. Whilst arbitration were taking place over this WBC finally confirmed Whyte as mandatory when Whyte had already agreed to fight Wallin.
While Eubank *should* win, the lack of trainer worries me a wee bit. I thought his dad being in his corner would be nailed on but he isn’t. Curious.
