"Boxing is the red light zone of sports", Jimmy Breslin 1964. Hearn will be blowing smoke all around this in the hope that Benn will escape and that there won't be an enquiry. Tony Simms should be very worried too.
Yes, don't need an excuse when you "can't talk about it for legal reasons". "no wrongdoing has been proven" etc. etc. high paid lawyers got this.
Sorry but how funny is all of this. Benn has always been a little rat and Hearn’s big UK hope has been busted and he’s shown himself for the scumbag he is. It’s great.
Sometimes the truth is staring you right in the face,he was struggling past bang average journeymen and then in the space of a year or 2 he's dropping ex world level fighters? Albeit he started 'training' properly and watching his 'diet' more closely Sort of similar to lance Armstrong in the sense it's obvious looking back to wonder how people were duped If this was any other sport, football, rugby, athletics he would have the book thrown at him, with boxing I'd be very surprised if he's not back in a ring certainly within 6 months
Boxing's at one of It's lowest points, and that's quite something. Arguably, the world's biggest promoter has spent the last 24 hours fighting tooth and nail to put a fighter who's failed a drug test into the ring on Saturday night. This promoter will promote again, the fighter will fight again. There were many people in the game who would have allowed this to happen. The sport is on it's ar*e.
I don't think he would have beaten Chris Jr even with peds so the best thing they could have done is let the fight go ahead, Jr give him a hiding and then ban Bennt for life.
Full version, it's this kind of thing that's going to rightfully destroy Benn's career because everyone is chiming in with stuff like this, it's not gong to go away. This content is protected
I was a little checked out with boxing when he started out so haven’t seen many of his early fights. So as someone who had seen little of him but kept up to date on here it was crazy to see how he had gone from people saying he was total **** and wasn’t even southern area level to being half decent pretty f’ing quickly!
I've not enjoyed a fight week this much for ages, would have paid the £36.95 PPV price for this amount of entertainment.
3 people I’m massively suspicious of in regards to doping. Benn, 1 year lay off and comes back like a brand new man with proper one punch power. joshua - in the first year of his pro career he put on a stone, while maintaining a very low body fat % whyte- around the time of the Browne fight suddenly developed world class power
