I'm with you. Many of us will be glad to see Matchroom knocked down a peg, but they're still a substantial name (by far the best-known) in UK boxing and that's why this saga got so much mainstream coverage.

Hearn said both teams had known for a while so they were confident that the failed test wasn’t going to get out? So they were going to proceed with a fight where one of the fighters had failed a doping test? UKAD must have known as well and it seems like they were prepared to proceed as well? Only when the story got out they’ve refused to sanction the fight. I’m a bit confused with the timeline of events tbh. Surely as soon as Benn tested positive the fight should be called off the same day. It’s all very shady tbh.

I have knowledge of a very well-known UK heavyweight who, after a fight, tested positive for doping abuse, but because it was a very well-known boxer, the federation chose not to do anything about it.

I missed the press conference as I was working. I know the fight has been cancelled, but what have they said about refunding those who paid for PPV? Do they get a refund and what is happening with the rest of the card?

No reason for UKAD to have known about this. Vada just let the fighters and promoters know the results.

They will have to refund as the event has been cancelled.

Currently one singular adverse. No b sample test result as yet. Conor is any going to have remorse as he believes it’s a mistake and he didn’t take anything. I can’t say if he has or hasn’t. Matchroom have to back him as he’s not banned and he could essentially sue them currently for mega mega money for not putting on the fight as per the contract. I’m talking loss of earnings for the fight and career earnings. This is why Matchroom keep reiterating he is not banned as they are putting it at the boards door. Which in fairness is the correct thing to do. As the board are the ones that should ban hi. But have set precedence with BJS so are in a real pickle.

Matchroom would have pulled the fight before if it wasn’t for liability in the courts. Wasserman in fairness have done nothing they spoke with Chris they all got their own independent doctors and professionals including lawyers to look at the findings and found from that test there would be no logical advantage gained by Benn on fight night.

now whether Conor took something to gain mass and masked it or got a cycle wrong who knows in all honesty. But from what the doctor is saying that Eubank hired to consult from the adverse that was found and the date it wouldn’t have made any difference come fight day.

Just back to sleep where they were last Sunday. The profit goes out but from a loss point of view the fight currently is likely to simply be pushed back. As it stands.

for what it’s worth the UK subscriber base makes up circa 5-10% of DAZn subs. Not the be all and end all

I think pictures alone show that Conor Benn has taken things to gain mass, it's a ridiculous transformation for such a frame.

Just nonsense, if he’s took a masking agent it’s doing just that masking what he’s really taken. Impossible to say what he’s taken before and whether or not there’s an advantage.

Unless Conor benn is struggling to get pregnant and needed to take that drug he should be banned for life

This whole b test thing is a fallacy also, if Benn wanted to prove he was innocent the B sample would’ve been tested by now. The fact they haven’t is a little work around they’re using to say he hasn’t failed a test yet. If the b sample is never tested then technically he’s never failed a test. Despite the fact that he pissed hot and got caught. It’s a load of waffle and nonsense that needs calling out

I’d have paid DAZN PPV for behind the scenes footage.

    Hahahahahahaha.

Clomid is a PCT drug. The whole point of PCT is to retain the muscle and strength gains an athlete will have made after a steroid cycle. So Benn’s use of Clomid will literally have enhanced his performance on fight night. It can’t be any clearer really.
