I think people are over analyzing this. His problem is basically that he ran into an ATG boxer in Usyk, and he got hit with some punches and hurt in the first Ruiz fight. He probably wins that first Ruiz fight 75% of the time. Plus, he was obviously a little overrated from the beginning. But I give him credit for fighting really good opposition. I don’t think he’s suddenly gotten worse, although I’m sure his confidence has been lessened. If you are continually fighting against the best guys in your division, you are probably going to lose some fights at some point, especially at heavyweight.

The best fighter he knocked out was a chinny shot Wlad

He couldn't knock out Parker and got a gift stoppage against Takam. 0 power. None. He's featherfisted

After the Ruiz fight he realized he's chin is pure glass. This is where mental problems, "he isn't so brave anymore" started. And after that he began to tire even faster, because he wasn't calm knowing and thinking all the time about that vulnurable glass chin he has.
First is the chin=>then mental=>decline in already bad gas tank

Yes. No footwork or head movement either. He backs up in straight lines and throws the same combos.

The only thing holding him back is he's been the 5th best fighter in the division for quite some time, which was only ever a secret to the kind of folks who thought he was 'too big and strong for Usyk' and Joe Joyce 'too slow and easy to hit' for Parker.

It's a situation that's highly unlikely to be remedied at this stage. Sorry, Oluwafemites.

Gas wouldn't be an issue if he didn't send so much of it out of his mouth in the form of New Thought babble. Little wonder his tank suffers.

Late to this but I would probably say all of the above. He can’t help how good his chin is so I won’t ponder on that.
Joshua’s heart and mental strength are very very poor. Wlad victory aside (which I respected him for at the time) he has never shown much heart or mental toughness.

He quit pure and simple against Ruiz. Then rematched him to beat him. That’s not heart. Heart is digging in when your backs against the wall.
Froch could of given up during anyone of the first 7 rounds against Groves and then just had a rematch and beat him. But he didn’t. He weathered the storm and got the stoppage.
Nigel Benn rising from the canvas in round 1 when badly hurt against McClellan, then to go on and land bomb after bomb on him, causing the stoppage showed heart.

Joshua is done and he’s petrified to engage. That’s been clear since his victory over Wlad. Wilder has shown much more grit then him during his fights with Fury.

Joshua is a first class bum and a one hit wonder who's heart ain't big as a mustard seed. He succeeded in one of the weakest times in heavyweight boxing history. Times which are still in effect.

Exaggerate much. Ross Puritty as a can is a stretch. Sanders and Brewster are not cans. Might as well say Lewis was KO'd by 2 cans: McCall and Rahman :shakehead:

There might be success in the future for AJ. But he has to fight opponents a level above Franklin and a well past it Whyte. Many potential opponents for AJ out there besides Fury or Wilder. However, as everyone can see, making a big HW fight actually happen appears to be getting more difficult lately. Hopefully it will get better. I won't hold my breath.

Couldn't KO the blob, and couldn't outbox that puny cruiserweight. If Joshua trained with a proper trainer, instead of Lex Luger. He could have been the Mr Olympia by now!
