Joyce is slower than ever. Glaciers melt and forests grow in the time it takes him to throw a punch. His handspeed is best described as 'geological'. All that is bad news against a guy like Usyk who has already spanked him once. Granted Usyk is slower too but he's much more powerful to compensate. JJ was coming apart at the end of 5 rounds against Usyk. What's he going to look like at the end of 12?
Joyce would need to take him out early. As good as his stamina appears to be, chasing Usyk around and throwing a lot of punches that miss, will be problematic for the big guy. Having said that I think Joyce's power could tip it early.
There's another trend recently - Joyce can kill a bull with his punch and is so unstoppable that he's next to Chuck Norris. But for those who watch it closer - there's a pattern in Usyk's movement and even if a fighter is slower than him, there's a way to disrupt/neutralize it.

The thing with Usyk is he's never shy'd away and been purely defensive. He always holds range and picks picks picks. Even draws punches to land his own multiple combo's. With the big guys it's much more range to cover. Their feet are much slower but the big guys who knows how to use their size he will fold against. The Amir Khan high guard ring circle he used against Chisora in the early rounds is no good...Fury will whip him up the body from the middle of ring. If he could use his feet for all 12 maybe...but he can't. He got it easy against AJ.
Fury should make the Usyk fight. That big lump doesnt want to do the situps for it, that's the truth. I think that maybe its hard for Fury to motivate himself to face such a small guy. When the other guy is a murderous puncher like Wlad or Wilder Fury feels the danger and can whip himself into shape. That's my theory
Usyk certainly isn't going to knock him out. I'd certainly make him favourite to win but maybe not by loads, they're a similar age but my instinct is that the years have been a little kinder to Joe.
I tend to go with the higher skill/boxer types in these David vs Goliath matchups - so I'll go with my man Usyk via wide UD.
Usyk had some trouble against Chisora. Joyce is much, MUCH better than Chisora on every level. Usyk also went life and death with Beterbiev in the amateurs. This is a closer fight than people think. Aggressive fighters seem to give Usyk problems.
