Definitely. The issue is they want someone credible so they can push their own PPV agenda. In reality, he should have 2 options. 1. Fight Fury. Too good an opportunity to turn down. 2. Fight a bum - on free to air TV. Build back some confidence by cleaning someones clock
Unfortunately, I think you are right. I'm guessing there will be a breakup between Eddie Hearn and AJ within approx. 1 year.
Latest WBC rankings; AJ comes in at 6 for the first time in his career. I was always under the impression that you had to box for one of the WBC trinkets too enter the rankings?
This content is protected Credit to AJ giving in and fighting at such short notice to make this fight. Surley Fury won't come out with anymore excuses to prevent this fight from happening?
there's no short notice they accepted terms on Friday September 9th according to that tweet fight date is December 3rd that is not short notice AJ posted pics of himself working in gym a few days beforehand. he's fit. given plenty of notice. just for the record
it's not particularly interesting once he stops Fury it will be him& Usyk at number 2 & 1 & no much need for a fight between them
Some rumblings on Twitter claiming that Chris "The Nightmare" Arreola has received a contract to fight AJ on December 17th.... Good confidence building fight, I know Arreola is 41 but he looked better in his fight against Ruiz and still posses some power, but I don't see him having any chance against AJ.. Imagine Arreola catches AJ with a punch from the gods, that's career ending...
Arreola is poor and hopefully just twitter nonsense. Hearn stated Hrgovic, Zhang and Wallin are potential opponents. Hopefully not Wallin but either Hrgovic or Zhang that would make for a decent fight.
