At some point we gotta hope. I mean the I dont fight Mexican stuff he says really is ridiculous when you think about it. He fought Angulo, Chavez Jr, Josesito Lopez who was a mexican american, same as Benevidez. The fight should happen, and if not then as a Canelo fan i have to question why.

Canelo isn't risking it anymore and looked noticeably older and one dimensional against the Kazakhstan Senior Citizen.

No way this happens and Benavidez only has himself to blame for losing his strap twice.

Not likely. I am sure he is still weighing a rematch with Bivol and I think he is nearly done in boxing. Fans always like to pass judgement and talk all this crap about fighters but put yourself in Canelo's shoes for a second. (Or any BIG money fighter) 99% of boxers are fighting because they need the money, whereas guys like Canelo aren't. The majority of the planet would not still be fighting if they had Canelo's money.
There are always going to be boogey men out there in boxing that fools keep buying their narrative. X fighter is a "beast" and no one wants to fight him and that simply isn't true. It's usually a case where that "avoided" fighter won't take a financial risk to land the big fight and put himself on the map. The Benevidez camp have made some bad decisions in the past and that is just as big of a factor in him not being recognized as anyone trying to avoid him.

FWIW I think Benevidez at this point beats Canelo, but it isn't going to be some kind of wipeout. Guys that say Canelo doesn't have "the stones" are just complete morons. Bivol and the younger versions of GGG that Canelo fought were tougher opponents than Benevidez is right now.

That was horrible on David’s part. Ruined a super fight in the most embarrassing and unprofessional ways he could

His explanations aren't straight up. I'm sure he's in on his team's strategic matchmaking.

    Oh for sure
He has input - but he also has ego

& as the chatter happens it always seems to get to him
That’s how we got the trout, Lara, & GGG fights.
All 3 were avoided & thought to be ducked but he ended up fighting them -

he will fight Charlo & Benevidez after he loses to Bivol again…. He has no better or more lucrative options for viable big money fights.
