Should cruisers take advantage of making a name for themselves at Bridgerweight?

Holyfield was immortalized as the greatest CW, which enhanced his legacy (after his career) after taking on the best at Heavy.

    It's not a legitimate division

It will be in 15 years though, when guys that small are at too large of a disadvantage.

Eh only because we have some very special big men who don't have the flaws giants normally have. Fury & Joyce. 270 pounds. 12 rounds stamina...and Fury has supreme slickness for his size.

I don't see any gifted men of this size coming about for another 10 years minimum. All plodders, CrossFit posers and bodybuilders.

We're very lucky to see what a next gen heavyweight looks like...but people still fawn over the wrong crop including that very good cruiserweight who got his deserving payday.

After Fury has dealt with Usyk it's a question of how do we get Joyce the respect and admiration he deserves in a very short time window.

They'll keep getting bigger just like they always have. When I first got into the sport, I told people they would keep getting bigger, and that Fury would have people his size in a couple decades. 7 years later, he has gotten much bigger, and also has people his size.

5 of the top 15 are regularly 265+ now. In ten years, they will be larger. Be very afraid

Fury's biggest asset is promotion. He has made it to 34 without fighting a top notch fighter anywhere near their prime. He has fought gatekeepers a one trick bum, and a couple washed up old men.

What happened to Rivas vs Rozanski? Was looking forward to that one.

Stupid division and another way of grabbing more money from sanctioning fees.

Okolie would easily outbox Babic and maybe even knock him out.

Grifterweight is a nonsense (as if the introduction of boozerweight wasn't enough of a nonsense). Please let's all just ignore it.

I dont think the top 15 in 2037 will consist of 15 270 pounders that are moving like Tyson Fury. I think great 220lbs boxers will always have a chance of beating these 270lbs fighters.

Exactly this. The same was said about Super MW.

Some fighter will come along and find their niche there.
