Ali faced a great deal of adversity from ATG/Hof level champs. Ali is far more proven than Usyk. Ali was just a big bully in his prime. Its easy to look good against small and weak opposition. Patterson. Liston etc. Usyk on the other hand has outboxed giants. Prime Ali had poor technique and thrived on his size and speed against the small and slow opposition he faced. Its easy to look good when you spar kids.
Modern CW is a much more skilled division than the 60's HW division. Its an insult to even suggest otherwise.
If you think Usyk is slow and lumbering compared to Ali then you need to rewatch his cruiserweight fights.
This is simply not true. Liston was bulky with very long arms, just not very tall. To call him "small & weak" is a joke. Ali beat a bunch of guys taller than him, & a peak powerhouse in a tiny, slow ring vs. Foreman. The one sided disrespect from extremists on EITHER side is absurd.
Jim Brown was an infinitely better athlete than Ali. Better than any boxer until the new century, if not later.
There were better athletes playing American Football than Boxing all the way back to the late fifties. It wasn't even close back then, let alone now.
