No idea who that is but I'm certain he's better than Ben Davidson

Don't know who he is, but is he not a PE teacher?

Taylor seems to be all over the place. Doesn't strike me as a calculated move (à la Fury to Steward) so much as an impulsive one, but maybe I'm wrong.

Taylor needs to get back to fighting. He's way too inactive. 3 fights in 3 years is pretty woeful. He's wasting his prime (although that seems pretty common in boxing these days).

Man it's like every fight's result determines if the Trainer gets to keep his job going forward, funny times,

But in this case it is Ben Davidson so good choice Taylor.

I guess a change was necessary after his terrible performance last time, but no guarantees it will work as the Joshua/Usyk rematch showed.

Taylor has never looked like a fighter who was very varied or adaptable in his approach. So I would be surprised if Taylor wins this rematch without some further dubious scorecards.

Not if it was all about COVID-19, injury and trouble on the scales, as claimed.

Whatever you or I or anyone else might think of Davison, this move smacks of squarely blaming him for a crumby day at the office.

Joe McNally is one of the best upcoming British trainers along with Grant Smith. He has a good stable right now based in Liverpool, training Liam Smith and JJ Metcalf who recently went to Spain and stopped Kerman Lejarraga.

Hope Joe McNally gets more out of him. I do get a slight whiff of Scott Harrison about Taylor in terms of discipline, not to say he'll end up in prison.

Also to add for those who don't know Joe he
Was also a decent amateur himself and had some profights. He's coaching out of Rotunda which is a well known gym in the UK.

Good to hear. I just don't believe anyone can be a head trainer without having had at least 10 or so hard amateur fights. This applies to any sport in the world. It should be requisite to even be a commentator that one has at least sparred.
