It's OK for a short notice turnaround. Nobody good will be willing to fight Fury on 8 weeks notice.

 

He can fight whoever he wants to fight. It's fine by me.

 

Haye was 36. Name a single opponent that age or younger that you would consider a better win for Wilder.

No mention of Makabu, either.

 

TLDR: It's not really a short notice turn around. They have been working on getting this fight made for months. This has just been span to make it more acceptable.

This fight is a cash grab against a soft touch, span just enough to make it palatable for a casual audience.

 

Agree with this. I understand taking a tune up before a big fight but there are plenty of easy touches out there that he could fight instead of a 3rd fight with Chisora.

 

IF this fight goes through I no longer recognize Fury as a champion. Usyk becomes undisputed in my mind.

 

We've heard more from Bellew after his retirement than before. The guy is always running his mouth about something, and then complaining that he wants to be left alone.

Haye was retired for four years, had two "tuneup" fights against absolute bums (one of whom, I believe, didn't land a single shot), then proceeded to hobble around and lose twice to Tony Bellew of all people. It was a carefully orchestrated cash grab that included Bellew on account of how mediocre he is; Haye thought he was just bad enough that his washed up one kneed self could stop him quickly. If THIS Haye is in your top 3 wins, much less your best win, your resume is not serious.

Makabu grabbed a title in a division that is in shambles after Usyk stole all the glory out of it. All the talent has moved up, aged out, or made memes of themselves (Breidis). He's a mediocre cruiserweight, could never be a heavyweight, and would have been out in the WBSS in the first round a few years back if he were even invited.

I truly never thought I'd go to such lengths to prove Wilder's resume is better than another fighters, but it's clearly better than ANTHONY BELLEW'S.

For the record, do you also think Bellew BEATS Wilder?

Fury fans are so pathetic, it's unreal. They change their agenda every single hour, just like their fallen hero.
He was somehow going to face AJ, but from AJ he turned to Charr/Chisora type of opponent, when there is like 100+ better opposition than this 2. Absolutely garbage.

He is a troll, who knows nothing about it. Klitschko looked terrible against Jennings, hell even against Pulev, his jab and movement was far from great. His jab was pretty much gone, and after Steward dies he start declining slowly but study.
His last true prime fight was against Wach, who was not much quality, but at that time was fresh, young and unbeaten with Granite Chin.

Klitschko was sharp, fresh, fast in that fight.
After that with Banks Klitschko start relying mainly on clinching, cause his feet and speed was not what it used to. Not having the cardio for play the high pace and move game anymore.

And for Fury fight, Klitschko had to cancel his camp, due to personal issue with his girlfriend and their newborn child. But he doesn't like excuse and never ever find excuse to bring on.

But let's see what Fury would look like, not at 39,7, but at 37 years of age. He will probably barely walking.

You can have a warm up fight if you are being inactive for a 1+ year. He just fought in April, which was very easy fight.
A Champion should try to fight the best possible opponent, not soft touches after soft touches.
And what is the garantee that he will fight Usyk next?
Will his fangirls finally start calling him a quack, quack, when he duck Usyk fight in February that is already offered to him ???

They excuse him last time when he duck Usyk, they will find a new excuse this time around again.

You got a very stacked division, and a solid contentenders, yet he is fighting a journeyman, that is just a guy that people need to beat to settle in a division and introduce themselves. Chisora is never and never will be a worthy title contender fighter.

Mandatory challenges can take stay busy fights, waiting on their shot for the title, a Champion who is in the bussiness for a good 14 years should not even consider such an opponents.

And looking at Fury resume he is full of soft touches.

Ruiz called him, and was a top fight for Fury, which he would have been heavily favorit, due to styles makes fight, as Ruiz is pretty much tylor made for Fury.
Hell even Ortiz would have been way, way better fight for Fury.

Absolutely ridiculous fight, but not expecting anything less from Fury, he already ducked AJ fight like 2x time, and already ducked Usyk fight already, and he will do it again in February.

 

Both Usyk and AJ are 100x time the champ Fury could of dream to be.

Again: Usyk at CW fight Glowacki, Mchunu, Hunter, Huck, Briedis, Gassiev and Bellew in consecutive manner in 2 year time span, and he had 2 injury in the meantime and still fight and compete in World Boxing Super Series.

AJ could have easy touch over easy touch and wait for Undisputed fight, but haters on here would have wrecked him, but Fury somehow get a pass.

Since won the title from Martin, AJ tries to Unified the division.
Fighting consecutive against Klitschko, Takam(late replacement), Parker(Champion), Povetkin, Ruiz 2x time(late replacement), Pulev(long mandatory), who was on a 7 win streak, and just 1 loss to Klitschko, and twice Usyk.

And Fury since his return: Seferi, Pianeta, Wilder 3x, Shwarz, Wallin, Whyte, who was already KTFO Cold a few times already, and just a fight prior. And now the all mighty Chisora.

 

Whilst those at the top of the sport continue to be allowed to get away with this. It will continue.

What kind of example does this set to contenders and those starting out? Is it any wonder in the U.K. it’s a struggle to even get two contenders to face each other?

"oh fury fights down to his opponents level", any time some nobody bounces him around some. "oh, fury likes to troll", any time the fraud does the opposite of what he talks.
