The guy was hunched over and ward was going to the body. Kovalev was badly stunned he didn't want to fight. Ward beat the fight outta Kovalev let's say the fight wasn't stopped Kovalev would've either lost a decision or would've been stopped in that same round or probably the next. Kovalev was a mentally weak bully who when the going got tough folded up.

OMG...Pimp, that does NOT matter when the winning blows were illegal. I cannot believe you are trying this hard to justify that. Just say you don't care and are glad Ward won. But trying to say it was 100% legit, you are lying to yourself. You know that.

I was a HUGE Shane Mosley fan. Think I care about any of his "wins" once he fessed to taking the dope? Did I keep cheering for Margarito after his wraps scandal? Nope to both.

You don't wave a fight off on a foul

And we all know if Dre had been the one who'd been fouled the home ref would never have waved that off in a million years

He would've given Dre 5 minutes to recover and warned Kovalev or deducted a point from him which is exactly what you're supposed to do in that situation

Kovalev was almost out against Yarde in round 8 but he came back to KO him

Who knows what would've happened if Kovalev had been given time to recover from the flagrant low lows

He was one of the deadliest punchers in the sport

Weeks is clearly as corrupt as hell and on someone's payroll he shouldn't have been and Dre categorically refused to allow a single neutral judge to be appointed for the rematch after having a full set off home officials for the first fight in his country even though Kovalev was the three-belt unified champion

The guy was hunched over and ward was going to the body. Not wards fault. The ref didn't call it low and stopped the fight when Kovalev wasn't fighting back and was going down. Kovalev was in distress from the work ward was putting on him. Kovalev doesn't like it to the body and complained or reacted badly everytime he got hit there. Those shots were beltline they weren't blatant fouling low blows.

Come on Pimp. It's obvious why you like certain boxers more than others, but you need to sometimes set that aside and look at things more objectively. Be fair.

Kovalev was cheated by the judges in the first fight. And in the second, remember a low blow is illegal, if it had been Kovalev low-blowing Ward the ref would have given Ward time to recover or maybe even DQed Kovalev.

no one said it was Ward's fault. But it was a low blow regardless. Do low blows not count if it was accidental?? They still count. And no, they weren't belt line. There's video clearly showing where it landed.

Those punches were on the beltline not the balls.

Hey years of Vodka abuse made that body weak. Those were some brutal body punches from Ward.

We agree to disagree. The ones I saw were beltine they weren't completely below the beltline.
