Yeah that would be nice, except Zhang who would be pretty scary if he had developed the old way, in the ring fighting a lot. He interests me for some reason. As mentioned, Jared Anderson is worth keeping an eye out for.
It's much harder to predict winners nowadays because the top guys, especially at HW, are so damn OLD, they could slip up at any time.
Never going to happen. Anyone predicting this is going to look foolish. Helenius goes to sleep early. He has never dealt well with getting hit hard.
There literally is zero reason for a 4th Fury fight. Wilder won only a handful of rounds total in 3 fights.
Im just happy to see Wilder back in the ring, hes my favorite active HW right now and im anxious to see what hes got left.
I feel like 25/1 is really good odds for that. Look at the back section of anyone's career. No fighter over age 35 is better than 20-1 to last 6 rounds, and he's coming off 2 KOs in a row? I think Wilder wins this but I would take the bet for the odds.
These guys are not that far apart in resumes. Wilder had the trilogy with Fury, who is the best fighter either guy has faced but he should be 0-3 against him. And Wilder got KO'd twice by Fury. And beyond Fury, his resume is pretty thin. Helenius fought Chisora, Whyte and Peter which is probably on par with Wilder's next three opponents (maybe even better) in Ortiz, Stiverne, and Arreola. If I'm wrong on the top three fights, let me know. Now I know people will bring up Washington, but Helenius knocked out Kownacki twice who stopped Washington quicker than Wilder did. It's why triangle theories don't work; styles make fights. Wilder is still the bad boxer with an A+ right hand he's always been. And Helenius is probably still lacking in the whiskers department, so if Wilder lands like he did on Breazeale, it'll be a short night. However, I think Helenius is still the better boxer between the two, meaning he has better fundamentals. And if Wilder doesn't knock him out, he could be in a world of trouble because Helenius can punch too. You put a gun to my head, I'd take Wilder by KO. But for anyone betting it, you should definitely take Helenius at +500 or better.
