I disagree, I don't rate Helenius at all. The two Ortiz wins trump it massively imo, and I'd still pick Oritz today to spark Helenius, but fair enough and fair play that you'll give him credit.

Ortiz is one of the most overrated heavyweights of recent time. Helenius would probably knock him out in the first three rounds if they fought. If feather-fisted Andy Ruiz is bouncing you off the canvas, a big guy like Helenius who can punch is going to put you to sleep.

But we can disagree on that, I still think Helenius record is better than Ortiz's by a long-shot even if he's come up short in a couple of fights.

Why wouldn't I? Helenius is dangerous and coming off two of the best wins of his career.

I'll rank him around the same place as Luis Ortiz or Stiverne 1.

Helenius is a guy that can KO Andy Ruiz one night and get KOed by Charles Martin the next.

Ortiz is heavy handed and a competent technician, but he is shot to death. No chin anymore, gets dropped by jabs. Plus his CV is bad

So if Wilder wins he'll only have beaten a washed up old bum?

Sugar Robert Helenius is basically in his prime right now after being completely shot for several years.

Helenius was a bum the day he turned pro imo. A win is a win though.

I see this as a good comeback fight coming off the Fury losses, but I don't expect Helenius to make it past 3. He freezes up when he gets hit, and he's going to be hit hard.

    We'll see.

Helenius looked good his last couple of fights, and lets not kid ourselves, Wilder isnt exactly "technically" a skilled fighter either. Its going to come down to who can take the others punches better, and with Wilder taking a beating in his last 2 fights makes this fight very very interesting.

I don't see it. I think Wilder will look how he's always looked, he didn't degrade through the 3 fights imo.

I'd love to be wrong though so fingers crossed.

Wilder's " chin " seems fine to me. He took some good shots on his chin from Fury in their last fight. It's when he gets hit on the left side of his head above the ear is when the trouble starts. You know, the dent that Tyson made, that's Wilders off button now. If Helenius can land a sweeping right hook there he could do it. I just don't see him lasting long enough to land the shot.

He did look good but it was only Kownacki who in his next fight would lose to Demirezen. Wilder would murder Kownacki.

Wilder isn't good technically but Helenius isn't exactly great technically either. He has poor movement and leans back from punches with his chin in the air. I can just see Wilder loading up with the right, taking a big step in and landing as Helenius leans back.

It's a bad style match up for Helenius. He was KO'ed by right hands from Duhaupas and Washington and see Wilder doing the same.

But Helenius is dangerous, if Wilder falls short, a counter right hand, like the one Helenius landed on Kownacki could very well result in an upset.

To Wilder's credit he made a career beating guya like Helenius.
There is level to this and Wilder have madebit clear that he is at least a level above this type of fighters.
Also he wasn't KO unconscious, which usually is the type of KO that took away a fighter chin/durability. For example Whyte being KTFO by AJ and Povetkin.
So as much as im not a Wilder fan i think he wins this as usual by brutal KO! And to be fair i can't wait for the fight.
